  • Enjoyed today, will give myself a push to get on track next time. I should of hopefully managed to get a picture of everyone. First time shooting any moving vehicles so could do with some improvemen

  • Why do we all do these events ? For the most part it's the chance to get together with other like minded Skoda fans. And also the chance to explore the speed thrill and handling of your chosen ride. W

Just had a nose at MissPiggy's Photobucket

Almost looks like I'm mowing the grass in this one :o

On my best lap I hit 110 but by this point the brakes were fading. I'll have to do screenshots of the app I used

When I passed you to catch James i was 120+ going up to avon rise. but let off every time as too many cars to be doing crazy late braking. Like Jason, brakes are ok, but the 996 calipers and 323mm discs will make all the difference when i finally get round to fitting them

Our Fabia would only top out at 104 so it was no wonder you caught me up

Brakes have been fine for me since. Used them hard on the B road short cut coming home from work and they were good.

I stand corrected

Must've been wrapped sine that pic though

Uploading a vid of Richard passing him now. Shouldn't take long

I have my fluid and will be changing it this weekend!

I have a new problem now though, I have stripped more things out of the Golf and somehow upset the immobiliser, I now have a birds nest to work through and remove it. Anybody know anything about immobiliser removal?

This is what is in the car HERE

My insurer is Pace Ward they offer track day cover

Check they cover Castle Combe, I know my new policy has track day cover but wont cover Castle Combe. I wonder why????

He wasn't very good at making space in the tighter bits, so needed a longish straight. :)

I'm guessing it doesn't get overtaken very often.

My insurer excludes 2 circuits castle combe and nurbergring just so happens that's the only tracks I have taken the octy.

Combe has next to no run off and only 1 tiny patch of gravel on the far side of Quarry.

If something goes wrong at Combe you are generally going to end up in the armco/tyres which is never good for insurance claims.

Quarry reportedly has more crashes than any other corner in the uk

Rather than contact all the photographers in this thread. Please PM me if you have pictures of my Roomster from the day, on or off track.

Thanks

Comments on the Facebook page aren't very friendly either. :D

Also, Lloyds Octavia vRS is featured in the album from the day.

Apparently there was over 1600 cars there

Saw it on FB. They really don't like being criticised do they. Guess it appeals to many who go down there. A stickerbombed Saxo FFS! So many nice cars down there I can think of easily 30 cars I saw that would have beaten it and a few were on our stand. Who won best stand?

Dynamic Cruiserz won best club stand.

is there a link, perchance, to this FB page?
