  • Enjoyed today, will give myself a push to get on track next time. I should of hopefully managed to get a picture of everyone. First time shooting any moving vehicles so could do with some improvemen

  • Why do we all do these events ? For the most part it's the chance to get together with other like minded Skoda fans. And also the chance to explore the speed thrill and handling of your chosen ride. W

Thanks all for a great day, and to Jason for sorting us all a good day.

Loving the photos and vids.

Evening all, great day yesterday! Good to catch up with people I've not seen in a while too!

A real shame we all got split up, but the second session was quieter for those of us on that one, and gave some nice room to make some progress.

Thanks to those who managed to take pictures, some cracking ones in there :)

Richard - cheers for letting me use your GoPro too, hopefully there is a little footage of actually driving, and not just you and Jason chatting in the pits!

Here is my footage

'The brakes are good arnt they' did he mean the ones in the passenger foot well ? Awesome driving dude !

Heres my other non skoda sessions if anyone wants a look

and another

Here is my in-car video from my 11am session - the 1st 1/2 Brisky session is uploading as we speak!

The blue and yellow car is chrisw_vrs not xav.

Xav's car is black.

And at 3 minutes a cloud of soot goes past out of which my car appears when I get off the power and on the brakes for Tower :D

You're right, but that's not what I was saying ;)

PMSL.

All forgiven, but not forgotten :)

Nice videos of everyone

Would PM directly but if anyone has full res pics of my Fabia vRS estate could I have them?

Heres the in car footage from the Megane RS that crashed at Quarry. All starts to go wrong at 3min25sec...

He sounds like he is trying not to cry, that girl is not helping.

The girl was an absolute tool... did you notice how the accident happened immediately after she asked how fast they were going? Probably lapsed his concentration. Also how he said 'Ive ******* crashed it' before it even hit anything!

She was laughing/giggling I would have drop kicked her out the car.

Gutted for him.

The sound was delayed mate, I heard the crash quite a few seconds before it was on vid!

Hey briskoda dudes!

Just signed up, and come over from 306gti6.com so i could apologise to R8MXX for my poor overtake on his session at

got some pretty bad brake fade and had to use the gears to slow me.

Heres the overtake from my view http://www.youtube.c...Kk0BDLKA#t=623s the video starts at tower and works its way round, thought you might like to see your car.

And i do feel bad about it and mention you here http://www.youtube.c...Kk0BDLKA#t=780s

Hope theres no hard feelings!

As always, your session was well driven with some really impressive cars, especially the diesels! I always enjoy watching you,

Pebbles.

Looks guys and gals like you had a great weekend.

A question to those who did both CC and Bedford "How Fast?" - is Bedford also so insanely crowded?

Wow, serious smoke from me lol, see what I mean about that TT overtaking through camp? That's why I kept wide lol.

Favourite quote feom Karl was 'don't brake you tit' :D

Internet was playing up over the weekend so haven't really been able to read all of this thread yet, so now sneakily going through them in work LOL

Josh,

Actually I said 'Brake you tit' in reference to the black Evo about to ram me out of the way :wall:

No, it's much clearer in my experience as the limit is 18 cars max and you don't go out at the same time.

It need to be remembered that these arent proper track days , nor races they are just an opportunity to get your car out on track and stretch its legs, there are too many other cars to really try and get decent lap times and quite a few people take cars there that they really dont mind crashing.

I love taking my cars on track but i'd never go on track at one of these events

No Jabo How Fast is much much more organised and sensible!

They only allow an absolute maximum of 18 cards on track at the same time rather than the 30(ish) at Combe.

However to get to 18 you'd have to have every single person attending the session on track at the same time. which rarely happens as everyone has the freedom during the "practice hour" to go on and come off track as they please rather than feeling they have to go flat out for a full 15 mniutes at Combe.

So which events do you track your Skyline at?

BossFox and PastyBoy, thanks for your answers, made a good reading :) I just know I wouldn't be able to have fun if it was to be so Wild West style as on those CC vids :D, not in my daily driver at least!

As Rich says you need to consider these Combe events for what they are - essentially a free for all where Castle Combe cash in on the MaxPower set!

I take part in the track sessions cos i consider the Briskoda only ones a "safe" environment, however some of the sheds you see rolling out during the day, some of the crazy overtakes, and the lack of care from certain people can be concerning.

Someone collecting an out of control BMW up Avon Rise was the perfect example of how it can go wrong.

The general attire and attitude of most of the berr swilling attendees and the general smell of weed as you walk through the crowds at Camp corner and Quarry corner can't be ignored.

I just like to get out there with the masses and get stuck in!

Which is fine when you are the one with the fastest car in the line up ;)

Had you been in Barrie's shoes and been sat in a Roomster behind a slick shod mahoosively winged Mitsi evo you're feelings may have been different :D
