Be nice to have it all ready when you get it though. Im the same with the garage situation, worst bit now is with the door leaks and its off the road it would of been nice to stick it in a garage and dry it out and seal them up.

Sorry guys :/

No problem mate. And sorry I'd actually forgotten to reply to your post!

You've had some insanely bad luck. I've honestly never heard of so many issues in such a short space of time, especially the f4r block!

I'd be getting shot before warranty runs out if it were me lol

More bits today :)

First up my Skoda/VW Sealant kit for the doors, not seen many people use it! It's the one listed on the fabia-vrs.com site but this seems to be an updated version, instead of a panel wipe a can of degreaser is included instead!

Then the nicer box :D

And after having tacky JOM's on my last ibiza I can tell you the quality is worlds apart! Instead of drop link mounts made of kitchen foil bent all shapes it has proper steel one!

Also noticed the spring adjuster on the front shocks is plastic/nylon construction, this should hopefully prevent the metal on metal corrosion some coilovers suffer.

And last but not least...

The poweflex bush

What is the benefit of the lower bush upgrade, its one thing i have never really looked in to all the poly bushing business.

The lower bush prevents the engine rocking too much. It sharpens up the gear changes and the engine seems to pull a little more eagerly low down. As there isn't any wasted energy in the rocking engine?

The only downside is the in cabin vibrations as a result

Do it Joe mate, had the superpro on the beefa and it was crazy good but megs vibrations this PF is slightly softer so far less noticeable vibrations but still a gain in pick up etc :)

For £25 it's a bargain IMO

Hmm might do for that money. What other ones do people do?

  • Author

Well that's the lower engine steady.

Do you mean other polybushes for suspension or that lower mount in particular? Superpro do varying shore ratings as do powerflex.

I've got the superpro 70 shore engine mount, but rattles the keys like a good'un. I'm going to try the powerflex 65 shore bush after payday.

Other bushes I have are the powerflex front and rear wishbone bushes.

I do have a set of rear beam bushes but just haven't got around to fitting them

Yer like other bushes people replace on the car like dar_hero said wish bone etc.

.

The powerflex wishbone bushes are really good. I felt that the steering was a little vague when I first got the car so these have really helped firm it up.

They more or less have a life time guarantee so you'll never have to change them.

The only downside I've noticed is the occassional "tram lining" on some roads with lorry grooves

Well both Powerflex and superpro do their own variations of front wishbone front and rear bushes, and also the rear axle bush.

That's it really mate!

I will be doing both the wishbone bushes too

Cool might be getting some new parts for christmas.

Cree reverse light bulbs, should be bloody bright!!

Cant wait to see them in, they look to good to be bulbs lol.

Haha I believe its the heatsink!

They were only £19.99 for the pair so cheaper than LED and seemingly brighter/the same as the smd's.

Wow they look bright!

I changes my wishbone bushes to powerflex ones when I updated my suspension.... amazing difference..... Worth doing this for sure :)
