Ah fair enough, I assumed it was a vax as didn't realise there were vacuum only wet hoovers out there. :)

PS: You'll have a set of headlights soon. All booked and being collected from me tomorrow. ;)

Yeah £40 from Argos mate, it's been brill!

Fitted rear seats back in today, the fronts are still in the house drying completely!

Had a good go at the steering wheel today, got it back to its original matte state now.

Good spotting indeed! But looks can be deceiving! I'd used all the AG shampoo up on the seats so I used warm water with fairy liquid, a stiff brush and microfiber and plenty of time and effort!

Cheers guys, grille and number plate currently sat in primer awaiting a few coats of black magic tomorrow :)

Following this with interest!

Sounds good Josh. Look forward to the finished pics of the grille and number plate surround

Haha good idea, interiors all back in now, fitted facelift rear lights, resealed the one back door as I didn't do it properly first time round.

Snapped too many clips so water will be coming in through the holes now no doubt so put a plastic bag in the shut until I pick up a new set of clips.

Plate surround and grille now sprayed black magic, will wet sand tomorrow before clear coating :)

What happened to the rear wiper?

It wasn't me! Mate drove around with it for years snapped lol, will sort it with a polo flat blade in time.

Awesome, the polo one will be great replacement

In case anyone's interested here's an awful pic of Cree reversing bulbs in action!

Have I missed something? What's special about them? LED?

  • Author

Yeah they're a single led bulb with a lense rather than a cluster, light output seems better overall and they work out cheaper than the cluster bulbs :)

Nice + bright :)!!

Coilover/poly bushes/TT brakes (front & rear) in progress.

Only had a few hours this morn but got strut out on the awkward drivers side, wishbone out fitted new front bushes.

Tomorrow mornings plan:

Press in rear bush

Refit wishbone

Fit new coilover strut

Fit 312mm disc and caliper

If I have time I'll have a crack at the other side and do the rears next weekend unless I can wangle a day off in the week :)

Pushing on quickly. :)

Thanks Rich, gotta get on with it mate! Itching to drive it now after beginning to improve things!

Only had under 2 hours this morning as I had to nip out and get a ratchet strap to get the wishbone back in.

Fitted the coilover, along with new droplinks and did the dogbone mount too.

Due to time I couldn't do the brakes so that's a job for next weekend now. Here's a snap of a wheel arch with the new bits in :)

Edit. Just read your above post.

Looking forward to seeing this in the flesh.
