  • Yes, for basic use the 300 looks like an absolute bargain to me. These are cost prices BTW, I do not earn out of this group buy. I am doing it because I think on the roads today, with insurance clai

Thanks BossFox. :)

You know you love doing these group buys for us all to enjoy lovely goodies. :D

Thanks. Much appreciated :)

Thank you very much, high five.

Cheers Bossfox, looking forward to getting my hands on it. Just need to start a thread on the best way to install it ????

Fuse tap in the fuse box, attach a 12v socket, use the 8mm protruding bolt for a ground. Then remove the A pillar cover, easily pulls away from the top. Push the cable over the headlining. The camera will fit behind the nearside of the rear view mirror, then the cable comes down on the shaded section of windscreen.

Sounds so easy. :D

Many thanks Richard - especially for going to the effort to set this up and manage it so well.

Looking forward to getting hold of the kit for sure and having a play.

Permanent install may wait abit as i have an Alpine EZi-DAB to install at the same time.

Shame that Thursday is the only day i am out this week..... i'll probably miss the postie!!! Damn! :S

Are they coming by Royal Mail or courier?? I've had a card from Royal Mail to pick up a parcel and will likely miss this as well, so may as well pick up both at the same time if it's RM. :)

It's via the post office.

Signature required and insured.

My unit arrived a few minutes ago - thanks very much for organising this Richard.

It has been brought to my attention that the SD cards are blank. This is not a problem.

Please insert it into the camera and power the unit up with the blank card in it.

It takes a minute or two before it starts recording because it will download the software from it's hard store on the camera to the SD card.

This way you can stick any blank card in.

Nice to see several have already arrived.

I'm impressed how quickly they've started turning up!

If you do have any questions BTW, feel free to PM me or write it here.

Any experiences can then be circulated which will possibly help others. :)

Mine turned up just now too. Thanks Richard

That's a bonus it even comes with a usb card reader

Just need spring to turn up for Mac software as I don't understand Japanese ;-)

Mines also just arrived! Hooray! Chees BossFox

Second unit has got to my brother-in-law - thanks again.

I've just emailed Blackvue to ask about Apple software and they replied that at the moment there are no plans to support Apple but maybe in the future!!!!

Got mine around dinner time, nice one

Set it up and tested before a permanent install, mine jumps into event mode very readily, I assume this is because the G meter is too sensitive and will need adjusting.

Is there any way to make it record longer than the options of 1, 2 and 3 minutes? Could it record continuously until the memory card fills up? I couldn't see anything in the manual about this.

Its just records in 1/2 or 3 minute 'blocks' for ease of working, and to overwrite in segments i assume. It does still record until the memory card fills up, and then removes the oldest segment. When playing back it plays continuously in the blackvue player.

If you export from the software I believe it gives a continuous video. Otherwise it's necessary to splice the clips together, trimming off the overlap between them (a few seconds from what others have said here - BossFox, I think).

Recorded the trip to work this afternoon and very pleased with the quality given it's raining and dull.

Yes, the video segments are needed so it can overwrite the older ones once the SD card is full.

The overlap is usually about 4 seconds in my experience, so it's easy to clip and stitch them together in a budget viedo editor for youtube etc...

You can also adjust a lot of things, including the sensitivity.

I have mine off so it records in the standard mode all the time I am driving.

Does anybody know how to change the language. All my icons and menus are in Chinese or something!!
