Keep the Skoda - I've only had one French car - I will NEVER have another.

Worked out if I had decided to have the Citroen fixed again I would have spent £3000 in three years, lost £5000 in value and that was just the garage costs and depreciation, had to buy a replacement car while waiting for Citroen to fight it's way out of hundreds of cars snapping cam belts well before due on service schedule.

Heard numerous horror stories with french car's

I will admit I only have the very basic of Skoda's 1.2 Fabia 1, but the build quality appears good, parts easily available and lots of advice on here. So I'd keep the Skoda.

Right got to work on the car today, got the lower cover off and the bumper was already off, checked all the pipes from the turbo and the intercooler and couldnt see anything out of place. Removed the elbow connecting the EGR and i think i found the problem.

Didnt think the EGR valve looked to blocked up considering the oil leak from the side. So hopefully i have found the problem ill get the EGR delete ordered im going to get the darkside kit is this used by many people ?

ill update when the new parts are fitted.
