Uploaded a photo to the previous post now, sorry it didn't work first time...

ah right now thats different. when ive had these before ive had to find a bolt with a head that fits tight in there and weld it into a spare socket.

Cant seem to find specific tool for sale mate sorry

Ah right, I'll have to get rummaging through the spares box for a random giant bolt then.

Thanks for the reply at least I'll stop Googling for a 35mm hex key now. ;)

Cheers

If only, this Fabia's a 2000 model so it looks like they changed it to a proper nut at some point...

According to Haynes the early fabias had this style of nut, later ones changed to a funny hex style shape on the outside where you could use a large socket

I've got a proper tool to remove them, i can find out the size tomorrow if noone els knows before then.

Yes please!

36mm multi hex socket

No, I've got the early model without a normal hub nut.

No, I've got the early model without a normal hub nut.

Look for a large hex key built into a socket......like these.........which are listed up to 19mm across!

http://www.toolbuddy.co.uk/individual-hex-allen-170-c.asp

......then for the replacement hub nut which is the a different shape you need a socket......but it has to be a set size and number of sides........I think it's a 16 sided socket...

I will look at mine tools when I get home tonight..........and post the spec of the socket up for the new hub nuts.....

For the new style hub nut you need a 36mm 12 point (round style socket).
