Reversing sensor advise required!

Featured Replies

I'm looking to get reversing sensors in the near future. I don't need fancy ones with lights or digital displays, just after the audible type.

Like the look of the standard Octy ones fittde to the black strip but they do seem pricey.

Does anyone know what make they are and if you can get them supplied from non-skoda outlets?

You have a PM

Although that would be great to have.

It just gives the same view you would see in your review mirror.

So you would still need parking sensors :)

(although nobody actually needs parking sensors in truth, but they would be nice to have :D )

True - it just appealed to the gadget lover in me!!

Try looking at www.steelmate.co.uk - I have them fitted and are reasonably priced, work well and look good too without needing colour matching

Could try these... no drilling required and work fine on my parent's Civic!

I fitted one of those on my Furby vRS. Works fine with the tailgate open, but it's hopeless with it closed (max range is about 6 inches). It also generates false alarms from every manhole cover and buried cable you reverse over. A nice idea that nearly works.

Strange... they've have no problems with false alarms but did need a replacement control box as it initially failed to pick up anything unless extremely close... so maybe your's is the same or not quite fitted right?

i have the quanan set of above being fitted in couple of weeks, cost
