Okay here we go, bought myself a replacement Mk1 Fabia vRS to replace my slightly bent one after the crash. Car is on 66k with most service history and receipts of the servicing recently.

Milltek exhaust

Weitec Hicon GT coilovers

Seat Ibiza front strut brace

Forge Alloy rear strut brace

Seat Ibiza front splitter

Tow Strap (gonna be removed at some point)

De-bump stripped

Lamin-x front headlights and fog lights

6k HID's

312mm and 256mm brake upgrades with drilled and grooved disc's

Audi TT rims in black with Toyo Proxies 4 tyres.

Front and rear tints

Full LED dash and interior light conversion.

Alpine Ipod HU with phone kit, and sub/amp in spare wheel well.

Golf R32 steering wheel

|After a month or two of ownership I managed to buy back my old car after the crash, luckily I should add as the day before it got delivered back to myself the turbo on the black one let go....I swapped the turbo off my old car onto this one and all is well again.

I've also swapped my leathers out of my old car but no pic's.

I need some decent enough weather to give the car a good machine polish and waxing

Aye a few people was interested in the car, had to move quick for it :p

Excellent looking car mate. Love the White dash lights. Interesting seeing it with the green lcds too :-)

I like the white dash, it was one of the things I was looking to do myself on my previous one so I was attracted to it when I saw them haha, door switches have also been done aswell.

  • 4 weeks later...

Not really much of an update, decided to buy myself the Projector head light's so I can retrofit the Xenon's on the car. Ordered my adapter leads to suit the H7 ballasts and will be picking up some bulbs from my Local motor factor's in the next day or two then get them fitted on the car one evening this week.

Weather is slowly getting a little better now so shall start to do panel at a time machine polishing (need's it as the sun shows up those swirls the last few days :o)

A difference they do make Phil, just fitted them tonight after I collected my bulbs today. They not only look fantastic but the light output is so much better also.

Before with 6k HID kit fitted to standard lenses

Can't touch the new lights :p

20130220_201207_zps48f3a6ed.jpg

Did what Korban did for the missing grommets and used the packaging to stop the damp entering the unit's, fully built them up and fitted the backplates on the kitchen table

Fitted to the car

After: - Light's look very blue here, but they are 4.3k bulbs and the output on the road is a lot whiter than shown here, compared to the Before pic, there is less scatter of the light

20130220_211646_zps15f69170.jpg

This kinda shows the direct line of the light

I'm still awaiting my pad's to turn up that I ordered a month ago to machine polish the car, I've been told I will have them this week so if that's the case now I have finished stripping my red car I can put some time into sorting the paintwork out on this car.

I think I will do panels at a time and take my time and get plenty of wax on top to keep it looking well.

I plan on removing the wheels at some point and painting the calipers but unsure as to what colour to do them though.

I need to strip down my old KW's and I plan on sending the springs to be powdercoated, along with the RARB, I'm thinking of doing them all Kawasaki Green to match the Strut brace.

HID's always look more blue on pictures. I've got 4300K lights in mine and looking directly at the projectors they have a slight blue tint to them but the light on the road is very white and not blue at all.

I'd be interested to see what the beam from those lights looks like against a flat wall etc.

Do your calipers Kawasaki green too :)

The xenons look really good

Yeah I was thinking of doing them Kawasaki Green also as when I eventually fit my FMIC, I plan on also getting the lime green hoses that Samco do so will all match together.

Cheers I really do love the xenon's they make the car look so much fresher and the light output is so much better than the HID's and the Halogens, really worth the money for them I think.

Will try and sort a pic out against a wall Phil for you, everywhere I went earlier on this evening to try and take one was busy so couldn't get near it haha

  • 1 month later...

Well today has been a very productive day for the car. I stripped my old KW's down and have taken the coilover spring's and also my RARB to my local powdercoaters who are doing them Kawasaki Green for me and will be ready by Friday afternoon.

This week I've been ordering and topping up my cleaning gear ready to make a start on detailing my car. I had already received my spot pad's, Chemical Guy's Black light polish, and also my Chemical Guy's 50/50 wax. This week I ordered some CG No touch Snow Foam, Autosmart Tardis, new drying towel, wash mitt and wheel brush.

I set about starting the detail earlier on this afternoon (will finish it off tomorrow)

Getting the gear all together (minus a few items) ready for work to begin

20130406_121806_zps38ad3262.jpg

Doesn't look too bad here.....

20130406_121814_zps1999381d.jpg

First of all I Snow foamed the entire car, left it to dwell for a while and then rinsed off. I proceeded to use the two bucket method to wash the entire car twice. I cleaned all the door shut's, boot shut and the engine bay with some APC and an old wheel brush.

After checking the bodywork the other week, I noticed a lot of dirt within the paintwork so decided to purchase myself some AutoSmart Tardis to help make things easier

20130405_193441_zps1d931b53.jpg

I fillled up a spray bottle and went over the entire car with the Tardis, I saturated a cloth and wiped all the sills and bottom 1/4 of the doors and the entire rear bumper as these were the worst affected area's

20130406_131933_zps4ed3aa07.jpg

Once rinsed off again I proceeded with claying the entire car

This is after doing the back end of the car, no where near as bad as it would of been if I hadn't of used Tardis

Claybar after doing bottom of sills/doors

20130406_142822_zps69986277.jpg

I then washed the car once again, first with Snow Foam and then once with the two bucket method. I then had a look at what we had to work with and it wasn't pretty.....

I made a start on the rear end of the car to begin with, I went over with a Compounding pad using P1 polish.

Some scratches on boot lid

Will crack on tomorrow and get the rest of the car corrected and then wash the car once again and then dry it and apply a coat of Chemical Guy's Black Light and then 2 coat's of 50/50 wax
