1. I assume you mean the Sonax?.......2 to 3 months...but I reapply every week ....so indefinitely in my case

2. If beading breaks down or isn't there at all

Well, much MUCH thanks to Alan (blueR36) for replacing my Audrey s wing mirror indicator! :-)))

I thought it was going to be an easy job.

Was preparing for my 2nd attempt,

when Alan kindly offered to help...

...and it wasnt easy! Eeeeek!

I ll let the pics tell the story (and Alan too if he s around).

On the Passat you remove the mirror, Use a trim tool to prise up and out the painted casing ,Remove T10 torx screws and  remove the black plastic surround by pinching two lugs , then from above two more screws to remove the black plastic underneath bit that the indicator is attached to. But instead of separate puddle lights, the Superb has integrated ones , so it needs 3 screws to and press two clips, needs two people to remove casing, then  in pic 4 you can see the puddle light housing is in the way so you have to remove that to get at one last screw, then plug in new and reverse fit. so a 5 min job turned into 20, as I know how it all fits it will be a 6 min job next time. I sprayed GT85 on mirror folding motor and all connectors, his mirror heater spade connectors were well oxidised on so left them 5 mins after spraying before pulling off  :happy:
