  • It's taken me a week to read this thread after my own Superb purchase! I can only say how gutted I am you sold Audrey! It was like a soap opera I didn't want to end. What am I going to do tomorrow?!

  • That's one hell of an aerial on the back there!...

  • It's not an aerial; it's the pole that makes contact with the ceiling grid.

@#!?!!$%+!!!!

Don't worry Wayne...... its not going to happen!!

Chris, out of interest, what is your weapon of choice for pressure washers?  I am thinking of investing in something that will take 10 mins to wash a car, rather than 40.

Nilfisk

Cheers, that's where I'm headed too I think.  Do you just use the foam canister attachment that came with it, or did you get a special one for the snow foam?

Also which Nilfisk did you get?

Go onto Detailing World and buy the Snow Foam lance from ther..Cheapest

Then buy a Nilfisk from Argos or Screwfix or Amazon

Well, much MUCH thanks to Alan (blueR36) for replacing my Audrey s wing mirror indicator! :-)))

I thought it was going to be an easy job.

Was preparing for my 2nd attempt,

when Alan kindly offered to help...

...and it wasnt easy! Eeeeek!

I ll let the pics tell the story (and Alan too if he s around).

Thanks again, Alan!

I owe u a pint and two!

NOT as easy as the Octy!

Good work Alan

On the Passat you remove the mirror, Use a trim tool to prise up and out the painted casing ,Remove T10 torx screws and  remove the black plastic surround by pinching two lugs , then from above two more screws to remove the black plastic underneath bit that the indicator is attached to. But instead of separate puddle lights, the Superb has integrated ones , so it needs 3 screws to and press two clips, needs two people to remove casing, then  in pic 4 you can see the puddle light housing is in the way so you have to remove that to get at one last screw, then plug in new and reverse fit. so a 5 min job turned into 20, as I know how it all fits it will be a 6 min job next time. I sprayed GT85 on mirror folding motor and all connectors, his mirror heater spade connectors were well oxidised on so left them 5 mins after spraying before pulling off

Nice work Alan - i see you are getting plenty practice before doing mine next week!  :giggle:
