Help! Monte Carlo kit for Fabia II

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Am really looking at getting the Monte's wheel arch, front and rear bumper spoiler and the door sill cover for my Skoda Fabia II and want to know if they are going to fit? Also if anyone has tried doing this?

Am sure I'd be said that its easier to buy a monte but unfortunately it's not sold here in India and the best I can probably do is look to source it's parts mentioned above.

Cheers,

They will fit and they will be very expensive so prepare yourself.

Your in India man ! They can make them there out of plastic food wrappers there lol

Superskoda have a front bumper off a Monte for 200 euro if that helps.

Any parts you have to get from Skoda are going to cost a fair bit, although I don't find the prices that bad.

They are new parts after all.

Yeah I've prepared myself already.. Heard it'd be close to £800 but can't really find it anywhere online

Have thought about that as well :D but don't want them to be falling off or look cheap.

Well if fabias are selling well in India and you cannot get the monte , why not start fabricating business and sell to the masses ? An idea

Problem Is that sales are not that great in India hence the reason why Monte's are not launched. Here you'd find a lot of Korean and Japs unlike eu countries. Moreover fabricating business for a Monte here in India would be highly taxed. CKD's only available due to which higher tax bracket in India.

see post #27 for what you can do once you order in the correct parts.

the Monte Carlo/vRS type Lookalike.

Guess he dint mean it that way :)

What is the price if just getting the parts ordered in at the Skoda Dealership your car came from,

compared to ordering from Germany, France, UK, Australia or where ever, taxes & Delivery?

There's no option for that.. Dealerships here order parts only from their parts list. If its a part sold elsewhere then we have to import it, but the fitment will be done by the dealer

Lol? We all know the Indians are very adapt at making anything from nothing , they are industrious I think is the word brimma, so no need to cast aspersions IMO ;)

The parts are on the Parts lists, if you buy Skoda original Parts,

& do they not Import everything, or are they all Manufactured in India.

Why does the Dealer have to fit parts if you order and pay for parts?

You are Importing them just the same.

Is your problem finding what from just anyplace, ordering what you want and need, or is it getting it delivered?

I would find where in the world has the cheapest Skoda Parts you want and will cost the least to get them to you.

That is just a Skoda Dealership if you want standard parts.

Or Pattern Parts from a Specialist VAG/Skoda supplier.

Guys I've got the Grill, projectors and the fogs from Superskoda and boy are they fab..

Hurts me thinking am I ever gonna get that arches and side covers for the sill done :(

I have an option though, don't really know if it is an option though.. We have the wheel arches for Scout which runs along the sides. Probably I might get the front spoiler off Superskoda, would the door sill protector and the wheel arches fit from the Scout onto the fab? If it does then I can have it painted gloss black. What do y'all think?

Unfortunately the sales guys here know nothing about the parts which are not mentioned in the Indian catalogue, add laziness as a quotient to that. Frankly I don't want to risk my neck in their hands as they might end up ordering something else which never was in the list and argue saying that is all they can get for me. So sometimes it's yourself who's got to do everything. It's the same for all EU cars sold in India.

Any ideas how I could get parts off used cars or crashed cars who have the parts which I require intact?

Is there any online shop where I can look at?

Have a look on salvage sites
