I got a bargin!

Featured Replies

Hello, I am Chris from Manchester. I recently bought a bargin a 2004 Fabia Vrs 1.9. I think it is a great car, I did want to buy some thing a little newer but I feel head over heals for the car I bought after the test drive. It felt like a new car, and the power after driving a ford focus for many years it felt really nice. I am very happy with the car, the miss,s has yet to realise what a great car it is as to her it just too fast and small, she isn't a car fan at the best of times. I am sure she will grow to love the reliability and comfort that it offers as well as the cheaper fuel bills.

I'd like to ask a question, just under the miles when I start the car up it is flashing a oil sign, after a few minutes it turns off. I have checked the oil level and that was low, I bought some oil and the level seems to be fine, but the "oil" still flashes? I have got it booked in for a service on Monday. Is it anything to worry about?

And...any one know a good honest VRs specialist in Manchester or close too that they could recommend?

Thanks and best regards.

Its your service light - saying it needs an oil change. It might not need one, but usually when oil is changed, that flashing light is turned out by the garage. Do you know when the last oil change was?

Yes, last year, sept 2012 according to the receipts. If that is all that it is I am not to worried as it will be receiving a major service on Monday. I'll mention that it needs turning off. Thanks for the reply

Regards.
