Help needed Heating / AC, another one...

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Ive been searching high and low and dont and havent foun an answer, hopefully some one can point me in the correct direction.

Got an Fabia Mk1 2002 1.9 TDi, lately when doing long journeys my fan/ in car heating stopped working, which is not nice when you going 80Mph on the motor way and the windscreen mists up

It dosent matter if i turn on the distribution selector, ac on/off , circulation.

I now my evap temp sensor is gone aas my acc haas its own life.

But when it stops i hear how the fan noice/ air strem changes speed in the dash board both nothing comes out of the nozzels. when change temperature dial (when evap sensor is in good mood) i can feel it changes in the litte breeze thats comes out.

Thought it might been fan resitor pack, but when stopping for and turn the car off for a while it starts working again, at least for a little while.

It also seem to be working fine when doing shorter and slower trips, so wounder if there can be a over heating issue of some sort on longer faster drives.

Thank you in advance

VCDS scan needed

Can i perform this scan with one of the cheap cables that ive heard about?

I doubt it, the module is 08 HVAC which is not the ECU but a dedicated module for heating and aircon.

Check the VCDS list on here for your area. Most folks will do a scan for beer money.
