What I find difficult to deal with is Ben the commentator, he is a first class stroker!

:D

He does seem to try too hard to seem excited, like he's trying to emulate Murray or something.

As far as watching good racing goes I'm much more a fan of the BSB although even there this year you have one guy (shakey) who is head and shoulders above the rest in terms of race wins.

  • I only hope it gets to the last race and Vettel needs Webber to stay behind him so Vettel can win his 4th World Title, only he's done too many laps on his tyres and they won't last to the end if he ha

Also I am noticing Vettel is growing his hair on top of his head to comb forward, is he suffering a bit of hair loss?

Your point of ridicule being?

As said above, the championship is all but decided and the final few races will be pretty much the same as we have seen already. Nothing to get excited about.

Nothing to get excited about? Only the fact that Vettel may become a quadruple world champion! I believe Alain Prost is the only F1 driver to hold that accolade at the present time.

Oh, and as an aside, A.P. actually rates Vettel highly, which is praise indeed.

Yeh, but its Vettel, you may have noticed I don't have anytime for Mr Vettel.  simple as.

Yes he can be cocky, but who isnt when they're winning?

Cheering for Vettel is like being a Man Utd supporter, it just isn't the right thing to do.

I hope your dislike is nothing to do with him being German. Anyway, it's still a cheap shot to ridicule his genetic make up on a public forum.

Cheap shot, is it because he is German? no and no, I work for a German company and have done for many years, I have many German friends.

Am I not allowed to dislike Vettel on a public forum? says who, I would happily tell him to his face I don't like him.

I asked if he was going bald, I never mentioned his genetic make up at all, I really think you are inflating this a little. Do you work for the BBC?

Lol! The BBC? God forbid no! I'm just exchanging views, nothing sinister. :)

I know Vettel has a lot of fans but not me, I also know next year might just be a return to the Senna era with turbo cars, fast in a line and slow around the corners, a sort of point and squirt racing style and will lend itself to whoever gets out front will stay there so the same as this year.

Time will tell, I will still watch the F1 for the rest of the season but I will still turn the tv off before Vettel makes his radio call to the team, makes me cringe.

I'm hoping the new regs will help get Williams back up the grid.

Always been a fan of Williams since a kid.

This was the first race I have watched live all the way through this season and found it (sadly) dull. I know there is a lot going on, but I don't watch a race to see who doesn't win, I watch a race to see people competing with each other and trying to be first over the line. I can't see it improving till someone either clones Adrian Newy or locks him in a concrete bunker for a couple of years :(  I think I will go back to watching 'Escape to the Country' instead, for the rest of the season (That Jules chap is very nice :)

I'd rather watch a race for nth position than a Vermillion Male Bovine driving in circles for 80 minutes.

Whilst I'm not a Vettel fan, I do think the blame for his success really lies with the other teams for failing to make cars that are competitive with the Red Bull. You can't blame him for winning when he drives the best car, just like you couldn't blame Schumacher at the height of his success either.

I don't blame Alonso for getting fed up with Ferrari, they seem to have utterly failed in improving what was a pretty competitive car at the start of the season. Not sure where his future lies after this season.

Somehow I don't see Red Bulls dominance being reduced next year due to the rule changes - Newey seems to have that magic touch!

Wonder if Daniel Riccardo will get the vacant Webber seat ?

Er, yes. Announced - see the 2014 driver thread :D

Weather for Singapore in the F1 Official Website is showing Storms for all 3 days - that might shake things up - as long as it isn't too wet to race.

Just need to decide if I watch the BBC highlights or buy a Sky one day pass for my NowTV box to watch it live.

Highlights then they/you can skip the safety car prosession laps

Must say the NowTV Box seems to be working well on our 8Mb/s ADSL, have got the 30 day free SkyMovie subscription and watched Taken2 last-night, it coped well no dropouts and the video wasn't jerky at all.

Bodes well for the LiveF1 channel, £10 is a bit steep per race though.

Allegedly the reason that Kimi left Lotus (for Ferrari) is because he hasn't been paid, and at present is just driving for "the fun of it" so to speak.

Whatever; I can hardly wait for the first "Fernando, Kimi is faster than you. Repeat Kimi...you" radio message!

Pretty boring race IMO, Alonso giving Webber the lift back the only highlight really, resulting in a 10 place penalty for Webber lol. Certainly the bad luck man.

Penalty for the lift was a reprimand for both Webber and Alonso but as it was Webbers third reprimand. Means he gets an instant 10 place grid drop. Sounds like it was the execution of the pick-up rather than actually doing it that incurred the stewards wrath.

Shame for Webber, luck never goes his way.

Yeah if Alonso had not stopped in the middle of the track. The CCTV footage is out there. While it was a bit dodgy no one died and felt like it was kicking him when he was down. Fans love to see drivers catching a lift and it shows both are good friends. Funny that Vettel didn't stop for his team mate...

Don't think Mark cares anymore. He's focusing on his deal with RB and Porsche.
