Webber got stung under "totting up" points on his (super) licence, the same way we'd get points. Is a shame though but Paul007 is probably right, he's got no hope at title, probably no hope at a win this season and will be glad come end of the season.

Haven't seen the race, only seen clips on BBC but appears Kimi had the best race of all - looked like some excellent driving and great tyre management. Likewise Alonso who managed to steer that dog of a Ferrari into 2nd.

  • I only hope it gets to the last race and Vettel needs Webber to stay behind him so Vettel can win his 4th World Title, only he's done too many laps on his tyres and they won't last to the end if he ha

Kimi went from 13th to 3rd. Hamilton couldn't believe he'd done it. Really hoping that Ferrari isn't a dog next year

Funny that Vettel didn't stop for his team mate...

Exactly what I thought

Officials are tracking a tropical storm heading to or close to Korea - heavy rains and strong winds a distinct possibility. Should spice it up a bit!

Or not, since a modern F1 car can't deal with standing water.

If Vettel goes off on the first corner I'll be very happy. Purely with the view of keeping the fight going for the WDC as long as possible.

I will just be happy, nothing to do with the wdc :giggle:

Fota and the FIA don't want them to deal with standing water you mean. All the teams can increase the ride height so they don't aquaplane. Let them race i say. The spray from the car infront must be epic though i can't imagine driving with such low visibilty. The bravest would defo win in full wet.

The driver at the front is the only one who is going to see anything, the rest will be driving blind. With all the technology you'd think they could fit some super-advanced spray suppression !!!

Found this clip earlier, oh to wander round that car collection.

When I was there, the Donnington Collection had most iterations of the MP-4, and cars from other builders, and cars from before McLaren even existed as a constructor.

Anyone see the race - I haven't but it sounded quite interesting? Webber's car on fire again, inclusion of a fire truck and 2 safety cars!

Perhaps Bernie should include the fire truck at all races along with jelly tyres and sprinklers? Could be selected via a spinning wheel, like a "joker" card but only one team can use it at each race - use it or lose it!

Whilst I appreciate the achievement of Vettel and RB, somehow Hamilton's comments are so true but hopefully the rules shake up with level the playing field next season.

Coops,

I am sorry to say it was not that good. They have tried talking up the races recently, but Vettel's dominance has taken the sting out of it in my opinion.

The two safety car appearances brightened it up by bunching the field, and facilitating some racing. Vettel was nowhere to be seen however. In a class of his own again.

There were some good moments nevertheless. For me, Hulkenberg fighting off Hamilton was both brilliant and exciting. The fire tender added some humour and shock as I watched it live on the Internet. Worth a watch if you have not seen it, but don't get expectations to high! Bring on Japan.

Thanks kevberlin - I have it recorded so may flick through it tonight.

From the press reports, the Sauber had the Merc licked on the straights, really?

Sauber had better traction out of the corners AND matched the Mercedes for straight line speed. For me, Hamilton never really looked like he could do much about Hulk. He got past him once but was immediately re-overtaken (is there such a word?) by the Sauber.

Hulk drove a quite outstanding race. He is a class act in my opinion.

Enjoy the race.

What did Hamilton say during the race...I heard something got bleeped.

These tyres are f***ed. In fairness he was right. Merc should have pitted him way earlier then with Nico's nose failure it was delayed even further

It was on the news:

Lewis Hamilton to his engineer: "When are you bringing me in man my tyres are f****d.

I'm an ex-marshall. I'm not allowed to tell you what I said when I saw the fire truck, or when I saw the pace car following the Morussias!

Seems like hembry has had a lot of abuse in the last 24 hours and has left twitter according to the fake Charlie whiting account?

The race was good, if you ignore Vettel up front. Grosjean got the jump on Hamilton, showing that he can be a half decent driver though the race. As said, Hamilton's tyres were ******, they should have pitted him earlier, then Rosberg's wing gave up so that delayed him further. The Hulk managing to hold Hamilton off for the last 10 laps or so was fantastic, no doubt if he could have got past Lewis would have pulled away and was capable of going quicker but Hulk just kept him at bay. Sauber finally looking a bit better but he still out drove the car. If he doesnt get a decent drive next year it'll be a sad day in F1.

Webber's luck just cant get any worse, poor sod. He body language said it all when he got out the car and just looked at it. Was pretty funny stroking the marshals back as he was putting it out though lol. There was some good battles further down the field, Perez/Crashdanardo/Bottas/Gutierez had a good battle.

Hoping other teams will take the fight to RB next season.

Hulk's pace really rattled Hamilton and was asking on the radio for suggestions on how to pass him! The one place he did pass Hulk was ready and immediately passed him back. The traction he was getting out of the corner before the long DRS straight was great to see.

It's a shame McLaren can't make it work and with them having such a dire season they should be focusing hard on next year. Like you I'm hoping it's not another year of the same before Honda power and even then that's no guarantee that will help them. The drop from being a winning team to racing Force Indias is truly shocking.

Force India have said the development of this car has stopped as have a few others. Newey was back at RBR headquarters working on next year's car so we know they'll be strong from the start.

Lots of drivers concerned about weight limits for next year and lots of drivers struggling to get their weights down. Could end up becoming dangerous with drivers trying to lose too much.

If he can bag a drive for Torro Rosso or Lotus he has potential to do very well in F1

No one in F1 will get a drive from Torro Rosso. They like their academy drivers too much.

Felix Da Costa and Carlos Sainz jr are some of their up and comers.

Lotus perhaps.

Who?

I think he was ****ed off, ****e strategy leaving him out with ****ed tyres and he was geared too short, even when full of fuel he was bouncing off the limiter, hence why Hulk just breezed past him.
