we are doing the valves on a replacement cylinder head etc on a 2001 fabia 1.4 petrol 8 valve.

the gasket set (from euroccarparts) includes 8 small but thick black O rings packed alongside the 8 top hat valve stem seals.

can anyone say where these O rings fit pls. ? i cannot readily see them in the haynes manual .

Logic would suggest it must be related to the valves somehow, maybe injectors ?

Ah yes would make sense, injectors - many a fouled injector I replaced with that kind of o-ring seal on my old mk1 gti which had a fuel tank contamination problem lol

Stating the obvious but have you tried actually calling Euro car parts to ask given they actually sold you the kit? Tried reading the description on their website in case it mentions it, or looking on a similar

surely on a 01 1.4 it would be indirect injection ..... the injector would go in to the inlet manifold rather that straight in to the cylinder .... if so i would be tempted not to disturb them ....

i would start by ringing euro and asking

I agree with Holmesie - ain't broke don't fix it, if they are indeed for that and it doesn't go straight into head then just keep them in a bag for spare
