My top 3 pretty cars of the moment......

Featured Replies

Being in the design business, my idea of something that looks very special is not necessarily the same opinion as every other person. Usually I am in a majority - However, browsing through my old auto expresses at lunch time, I spotted a few cars that I hadn't really noticed in the past - and noticed how pretty they were. Design perfection rather than automotive nirvana - but anyway, here they are !

What do you think ?

Where's the Gallardo then?

Loving that Morgan, read an article about it in last month's Evo, it was designed by a 22yr old placement student! Beautiful looking wood/chrome trimmings on the inside of the back section as well, looks a bit unwieldy externally from the back in the pics I saw, but Morgan reckon that with number plate in place it looks good.

I have to say I can't agree about the Alfa 147 - I think it has far too many different shapes blended into each other, and the overall impression is of a bigger car that's had the back end chopped off. Not Alfa's best IMHO.

Nice pictures, i like em all

Did anyone see top gear last night, bit of a carp episode but i love the way the Weismann looks...the wheels are great.

What do you think of the new lambo concept...cant remember its name but its based on a powerboat. Its a gallardo chassis etc but it has two small cockpits side by side instead of a normal cabin....i love it

I think the DB9 Cabriolet looks like the prettiest car in the world. If I had the money I'd buy one today!

Not really a sports car, but a posey cruiser

i was just about to say had you forgotten about a car called the db9 convertable ITS LUSH!!! mine!!!! :D

Got to say I like the look of the new Porsche Cayman, despite what Jeremy and the boys had to say, its got a bit more shape to it than the wedge-backed 911, bit more curvaceous, and I'll bet they'll be eating their words once they get to test-drive it as well...

Edit: Probably not many agree with me, but love the look of the BMW M coupe from the back.

Could be a good plan that - although a fresh section would be required - and it would be a case of posting an array of pictures of 1 car / topic and voting cool or not cool or whatever. But would be interesting to try !?!?

Webmaster ???

I'm not a fan of that Alfa at all - I hate the alloys for a start, but not keen on the rest either. (Edit: The rest of the alfa that is, not the other cars)

Had to post this always top of my list... who would believe this is 30 years old.

Agree the alloys on that Alfa are one of the points that turned me against it.

Love the 246 - thought I remembered the tail being more upswept - were there different variants over the years?

Would love to sound knowledgeable but I haven't got a clue - I was told this was a Ferrari Dino, so sounds like you know more about it than me! Either way I love it, I want one, and the picture is on my wall :D

Yup - named Dino after Enzo's son who died young. The rear just looks different depending where you view it from:

Also a fan of the original GT40, esp. in Gulf racing colours, was also a fan of the new version, but I've gone off it having seen it in too many magazines/TV/games

I see what you mean - it is very deceptive weird how it looks so much taller at the back from the rear view! Still looks cool though :D

As an Alfa driver, I agree - one of the reasons I'm looking at leaving Alfa is because I'm not a fan of the 147 (the 156 I drive is proving impractical and the GT that I'd like is too expensive).

As for myself, I think the 156 is one of the best looking mass-production cars on the market, along with the Alfa GT and the Peugeot 406 Coupe. Much as it pains me to say, I think top accolade would have to go to the 406, though. :)

Nice Guy Mike

oooo and the ferrari F40:D

Cant say I have ever been a fan of the 147's looks, but the 156 is still one of the best looking production saloons on the road. Unfortunately, I had the bad luck of owning one... serious design flaws marred the experience (tyre wear on the inside wall due to bottoming out), not to mention loosing a fortune in depreciation.

One of my favourite looking current cars is the Alfa GT Coupe..... Drool! :eyepop:

These are my dreamcars in correct order ...
