Call to the dealer today (should really have been from the dealer, but still) confirmed that my white L&K is still scheduled for a week 17 build (ie in ten days' time) and that they expect to hand it over to me mid-May. Since we are away cruising the Baltic from 7-21 May, that means it should be ready for me as soon as we get back (and, conveniently, I can leave the soon-to-be-exchanged SM on the Harwich quayside gathering muck for two weeks, rather than a shiny new car).

That means the L&K will have been something like 15 weeks from order to delivery: not quite the 12 mentioned at ordering, but a whole lot better than the 28 or so I waited for the current beast!

I hope those folk who already have their L&Ks are enjoying them. I have a few bits of extra chrome trim to lift the interior (radio, drinks holder and air con surrounds) and am seriously wondering about having the roof vinyl-wrapped in black, but will wait to see the car all-white in the flesh before deciding. Any thoughts from anyone in the meantime - and any recommendations for vinyl-wrapping companies in the N Yorks/Lancs/Teesside area?

Not what you are wanting to hear I know. Went cruising in the Baltic a few years ago. Absolutely fabulous, particularly St Petersburgh. Throughout a cruise that was different from the norm which threw up some unusual and enjoyable experiences. Enjoy your trip.

A part of me is a bit jealous of L&K buyers, but I really cant justify the extra for 4WD or the bigger engine, so I've ordered some of the extras like sunroof and columbus on my 1.2tsi to come.

Now I'm confused. My order for my second Yeti was originally advised as build week 19, which I was told was beginning of May.

Call to the dealer on Thursday advised build week is 18, but that this is w/c 11th May ? If week 17 is in ten days time, around 23rd April, then week 18 can't be w/c 11th May?

I hope it's me that has been given the duff info. Does anyone know for sure the build weeks / dates? Dealers seem to have twirly card device which also indicates when you can't amend your order I believe.

11th May is end of week 19/beginning of week 20 as far as I'm aware.

We are just about to start week 16.

Agree with all the above. As far as I (and my dealer) are concerned, week 17 begins on 22 April, so week 18 is week beginning 29 April. Suggest you bring your dealer up to speed, ciderman - unless he's just trying to avoid telling you the build week has slipped.

Thanks, Thurlby12 - I'll look into this if I decide to do the wrap. Still in two minds based on photographic eveidence so will definitely wait until I've seen the actual car before deciding.
