  • Gave the Fabia a quick clean today.     Doesn't scrub up too bad for a 10 year old car.

  • Thanks Charlie   So after going to Prept last night I knew I wanted to give the Fab a good proper clean today.    Bought the clay mitt and prep shampoo from Halfords this morning so I could get s

Cheers bud.

Can't wait to get the parts building up in the garage fitted! Just need some decent weather.

I know the feeling. I've got a few bits to sort out. Need to refit the splitter as a suicidal rabbit took out a few of the screws.

This weather is annoying isn't it, doesn't give you time to fit anything!

Haha nice, not good dude. How many screws do you use to fit it by the way?

About 12 or so I think. Going to use bolts next time and more tiger seal :)

Okay cheers bud. Sounds like a good idea.

Can't wait to get mine fitted.

That is seriously thick on the snow foam !!

  • Author

Haha it was quite thick!

I used about 1.5 inches of snow foam and filled the lance up about half way with water.

Dwelled well.

May have ordered a couple of bits this weekend, can't wait to get it all fitted!!

Oh and I'm now on the second map from John (Faboka) after he tweaked the boost on the first one. All seems well after my drive to uni this morning.

Wondering whether to stick to the low torque map for every day use and only use the high torque map every now and then.

A few more bits arrived this week. Should be getting a few fitted this weekend if the weather allows :)

Will update with photos if I get it all done.

What bits did you get?

  • Author

Might be coilovers, new top mounts and bearings, and some tint for the rear windows ;)

Was just looking through your thread for the bits about the Piper 0 silencer exhaust mate, properly tempted. Would you recommend it?

I really like it. I'll take you for a spin sometime if you like :)

  • Author

That would be awesome mate. I think I've already decided I want one just watching your videos!

Won't be for a while yet though, I need 4 new tyres first.

  • Author

So with the help of a mate we got the coilovers fitted this weekend!

This is a before shot of the Fabia, wanted to a couple to compare the ride height difference.

As well as new coilovers I fitted new bearings and top mounts:

Everything was going well:

The fronts were a pain in the bum to get in but we did it in the end.

We left the rears until Sunday and probably too late as it was dark by the time we got them in. The nuts on the rear were all a massive pain to remove!

It's not all settled yet, I'll update with another photo in a few days when it has all settled but it looks so much better! Even has some kind of stance now!

So happy with it but can't help but think it could go a bit lower ;)

looking good Tom

  • Author

Thanks Mark. Really happy with it, even if it does need a major clean! It's doing my OCD in!

Lots more on the list to do too ;)

Million times better!

  • Author

Cheers Sam! Can't believe it's taken me so long to lower it.

Just placed an order with Rob at W8 Performance for something very exciting!

Can't wait to get it fitted next week! And maybe a couple of other bits fitted too depending on the bloody weather.

Quick photo I took this morning and stuck on instagram (@tomwrnr).
