Ok so I finally think I've got it!

I pushed my leak tester all the way to 17psi and I intermittently heard a hiss from my bottom intercooler pipe!

So I replaced the seal and used some sealant on the joint.

At last, near enough whistle and whoosh free! I think the whoosh you do hear is the pipes letting air out between the joints till they expand and make a seal once boost is up.

So options:

Spend the hundred odd quid on a new bottom boost pipe (possibly finding other pipes gone)

Buy couplers and try design my own pipe system (possibly more expensive as I'd need a lot of piping)

Try find a cheap kit somewhere (though I don't want to spend more than 200 odd)

Give up?

Scrap that one for sure. Most cases people tend to go for the cheaper option and end up paying twice as much further down the line when they could of payed a sensible amount and never had to worry with it again.

I think I'll need to make a little investment in the car then to make it perfect..there is a good topic started regarding making your own piping so I think I'll be doing some DIY!!!
