L&K Photo thread.

Featured Replies

I just love the Jalopnik comment, Johann - "...That's going to be nice staring back at you for every second you drive the car..."

I have had that steering wheel on my L&K Octavia for the last 3 1/2 years, with flappy paddles too! It is much nicer to drive with than the 4 spoke on my previous L&K Octavia. If you have DSG, flappy paddles are wonderful for occasional use when driving as a Briskodian; i.e. briskly.

Looked in at this post as I was amazed to see L&K and Yeti together - as it was not available that is part of why I'm still with an Octavia.

Any pics of sunroof from inside?

Car looks great

I think the brochure says logos on the "fenders". Not mudflaps!

Does say Mudguards (Thank goodness the didn't use the fl** word that would have started another ooo err thread) but I guessed they meant front wings, ( there isn't another word to use sorry, fender I think is more bumper.) The picture on page 23 also makes it look like it has chrome around the foglights. does it?

No it's body colour around the fog lights, probably chrome other than UK?

Personal doubts about contrasting stitching, which initially looks so smart. Over a fairly short time, the 'used' areas (steering wheel, handbrake, driver's seat) are going to start looking grubby. Later, the discolouration will become ingrained, despite cleaning.

Please note: I said 'personal doubts'. Don't kill me! :hi:

Brijo,

Don't panic - it did occur to me too. Thankfully I am not cursed with children or dogs so that should keep things cleaner for a little longer. Only time will tell as to how it wears. I'll be sure to report back in due course.

Thanks for posting the pics, especially the sunroof ones that I requested.

Looks really good

Cotswoldlad,

Thanks for putting your location up.

A little bit of info about the Forum, with reference to the bit I have highlighted above. Freedom or anything below the avatar is about your "position" in the forum. The name of the person is in the grey line above the avatar, so actually you quoted MarieK. ernieb Hope that helps.

No actually he quoted ernieb

Doh!!

I blame my age.

Corrected!

Saw a black L&K DSG for sale in the Lincoln dealers showroom yesterday. Looked very nice but the chap I was speaking to on the service desk advised not to look at the price. He was right scary; 8k more than my Elegance spec Monster cost two years ago and she has a few of the additional bits of kit fitted to the L&K as standard :S

Shame they don't offer the cloth seats... remember when leather-style vinyl was the low trim option? ;)

Had a black one go out to a customer last Saturday - all the way to the Isle of Man, and I was very impressed with it.

Not usually over keen on black cars but with the wheels and little bits of silver here and there it (personally) looked really smart.

TP..... £8k difference? :wonder:

Oops I see what I did there. I thought Freedom posted a lot!

Nice to see another one on the Isle of Man, Lee. That makes it about 8 in total on island, Please, Please can we have a Main Dealer on island. ( Sorry to take your glory away Lee), but with the number of Octavia,s and other Skoda,s on island we could certainly do with one.

Me thinks I had a P/M from this person the other week.

Tony

Sounds like plan tony. i'd happily do it. your post office/licensing department were absolute stars

Lee a hell of a lot easier than DVLA.Plus you see someone face to face.
