L&K Photo thread.

Featured Replies

A few photos of my new L&K as requested. Starting with interior. More to follow as I get time to take them. If there is anything specific you'd like to see then let me know.

Nice embossing and stitching on seats.

View from drivers seat. Nice piano black trim and more silver stitching.

Much improved steering wheel - far more easy on the hands. More silver stitching too.

I like the stitching but that illegible scrawl on the seat faces............. Yuckarama sorry. It looks like a 30 year old smudged tattoo. And piano black looks lovely for a while and then you notice the reflections of the world on it as you drive (and finger prints). So also a no. I can live with the tattoo on the seats (as I will be sitting on them hiding them from view :giggle: ) but if I was to get an L&K the piano black is out within the first week.

But that is just my view! ETTO.

Agreed on the piano black pieces - they also tend to show scratches and marks more clearly. :( I really like the silver stitching, it gives a nice uplift to the cabin and yes, agreed on the L&K logos on the seats - its a half hearted attempt that looks tacky imo. SHame the leather isnt better quality on these! Overall though, great package and a brilliant value deal. :)

agreed on the trim, they will show fingerprints and scratches easily - am going to have to keep a duster closeby.

I like the seats however - they remind me of the embossing on the high end Ford F150 pickups which I really like. Clearly I am a redneck at heart.

Nothing wrong with that! :giggle:

The logo's on the seats do look better in real life, the photo's tend to flatten the effect.

Just ever so slightly:

Looks nice.

Stiching on the seats is good. Would be nice if they improved the quality of the leather on the L&K.

But from a cost perspective they are a good buy with a lot of extra kit added for a sensible price increase.

Certainly makes sense if you want a well specced Elegance for a lower price. :)

Can I ask why the three spoke steering wheel is much better?

It looks the same as the Elegance one, just with one less spoke, like the optional extra one.

Nope, look at the 10:15 position... there are thicker areas that fit perfectly under your hands as you drive.

Ok, to clarify, its better than the 4 spoke on the SE I had. Leather feels nicer and the bulges at 14:00 and 22:00 fit nicely in the hands. The SE one was the same profile all around.

My Elegance one has the same sculptured bits for your thumbs to sit in.

But it doesn't have the two big think lumps that will be above your hands when your thumbs are in the sculpted bits.

Looks like the same steering wheel thats in my Octavia Vrs, minus all the silver sticking

I have the three spoke wheel on my Yeti. Much prefer it to the four spoke, it fits comfortably in my hands

Andy

Ive always prefered four spoke wheels but I think my tastes are changing.... I really like that three spoke wheel! :)

I had the 4 spoke in the Elegance and now the three spoke in the L&K which I prefer. The thumb cut out are more pronounced and I feel that my hands have more wheel to grasp.

I like the thumb things... and the stitching BUT I like to hold the wheel by the upper parts of the two lower spokes on my four spoke when I get tired... something you cannot do at all on a three spoke. So in a perfect world I'd like my four spoke with the thumb things (and paddle shifts behind!)

A tiller would be more useful recently :)

Too right!

I can't wait for mine to arrive. Also didn't know but the wheel on my yeti is the three spoke a 2011 elegance but that's how it came wow a freebie! In the brochure it says L&K logo on the mudflaps but my dealer says it doesn't come with mudflaps as standard?

I think the brochure says logos on the "fenders". Not mudflaps!

I also queried my dealer on this who interpreted the meaning to be mud flaps on the front but not the rear. Personally I think the description has got lost in translation as in other countries, the brochure states something along the lines of 'L&K logo on front wings' which would be much more accurate.

In any case I negotiated mud flaps all round when the car does get here so it'll be interesting to see who is right.

It's a wing badge.

According to the April 2013 brochure, the description actually reads:

'L&K inscription on front mudguards'

This is obviously a mis-interpretation as the front wings / fenders can hardly be described as mud guards and certainly not mud flaps.
