Any ideas welcome, my son's 125,000 mile Fabia ( BME engine ) runs well enough at speed but occasionally mifires at tickover as well as slight hesitation when accelerating.

Scanned it and read out P0441 incorrect flow.

Also 'sporadic 006 - short to plus'. Also 'sporadic 008 - implausible signal'.

New spark plugs in last few months so it ought not to be them, also regularly serviced. Had similar problem in other son's Fabia 1.4 AUB engine which turned out to be Plug Leads. I realise BME has coil packs but am reluctant to change all 3 in case it's not that.

Should be able to diagnose from Maxi Scan but can't find how to be sure.

Please supply the complete code for your other faults, wiring to the pencil coil packs can give problems, you should check the wiring and connectors on all three.

Thanks, will scan again to get other codes. Any other ideas- don't want to just replace coil packs without being sure'cos they are about £25 each.

First thoughts would be coil packs or burned out valves.

Result! Not burnt valves but no.2 coil pack. Thanks to your replies & Colin Gunning, excellent vw/Skoda independent in Hertford. Try him if you are local.
