Festival of Speed on FRIDAY

Featured Replies

I have one ticket going spare for Friday's events at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. If anybody wants it, PM or email me and I will arrange to get it to you, FOC. If you're quick, I can post it, or we can arrange to meet at the gate.

Please note this is a FRIDAY ticket. Don't ask for it and then realise you can't go.

I have 2 of these if someone wants them. Requested them a while back, thought nothing of it and all of a sudden they arrive. Brought them to Brunters as well, but complete forgot about them.

Prices vary depending on which day you go, if you need stands etc

Quniten's tickets are now accounted for ;)

I'll see you there on Friday, Nick and anyone else that is going.

I'm aiming to get there for when the gates open at 7 in order to have a look at all the static stuff before driving starts at 10.

Should be great.

I have two tickets.

If anyone wants them PM me.

Spinndrift: please can you pass these on to Goochie? When I thought I had the tickets it turned out that I hadn't.

Goochie: I explained all in reply to the email; again I'm deeply sorry for my better halfs stupidity :(

As per Q's above message. I am desperately seeking one Goodwood ticket (2 would be prefered but 1 is essential)

Please let me know if you have any available by PM.

I'm happy to pay for a before 9am Royal Mail special delivery but they must be posted tonight so they'll arrive Thursday as I plan to leave the house at 6am Friday.

I could potentially meet at the gate with someone else that is going.

Darn. SPindrift's tickets are gone ncarring where are you ?? ;)

Goochie

Just spoken to Goodwood, Ring 01243 755055, You can buy tickets on that number & you can collect them on the Gate

Tickets now sorted - panic over :D

I might be heading down there on Friday too  Mine will be the black vRS Octy if you see it in the car park :) No Briskoda sticker yet though...

Looks like a good day out - I've never been to Goodwood before so does anyone have any recommendations of what to see? Also what is the best time to arrive - I've got to get down there from Cambridge...

This link will tell you whats there http://www.goodwood.co.uk/fos/

Theres so much to see its really up to you what you try & see. the rally stage is new this year & should be good

Take decent footwear as you will be walking a lot, especially if you walk to the top of the hill

Get there as early as you can & try & use the back entrance near the Goodwood Horse racing track if you can get that way. I would certainly aim to be there before 8 if you can

Cheers for the advice  Hope the weather stays like this - although heavy rain is in the forecast

If I see any other Skuds there I will try and park next to them!!! :D

A bit of rain will be a good idea, if it stays like this they might not run the rally stages due to the dust clouds it will create, also F1's on slicks in the wet are fun !!!

But if there's rain you only want to be in the (extremely slopy) back car park if you have AWD...

That's indeed the way to go if you are coming from the South, i.e. Bognor. Alternatively, head towards Chichester on the A259 before taking the country lanes through Oving and Tangmere. On the A27 roundabout at Tangmere it's only a short bit of queuing-up on the A27 until the exit that approaches the east-side Goodwood car parks.

Try to avoid (most of) the A27 at all cost.

How does it hold up when it rains?

I've got some freebie tickets for tomorrow but if it's going to rain all afternoon I'm not sure the bother of a 4 hour each way trip is worth it to get wet and miserable.

Had a poke round the paddock last night, Its going to be a cracker & well worth the trip.

Someone put the racing exhaust on a Ferrari & then road tested it up the local roads, the noise of a single fezzer on a racing exhaust rattling through the lanes on a still evening was fantastic even if it was a tadge illegal :thumbup:
