Will send my money this evening.

Cheers James!

Will send mine over Friday.

Money sent.

Hopefully we can all be better drivers after the tuition.

The last time I had tuition was 10 years ago ( in the Ibiza) at castle comb which was my very first car track day.

Went so much quicker with much bigger safety margin after just 10 mins!

I was basically sideways on some corners and not enjoying it as I was out of control not help by a very wet track.

The instructor soon sorted my bad driving habits and i really enjoyed the rest of the day.

Thank you Mr R, I am sure we will all be better after the osmosis of knowledge from the instructor, did I mention we all have to go out with L plates on?

Local knowledge is very handy, like finding the right line earlier on so you get the most out of the day.

As i found out following you at Bedford, I think the line went "follow me around and I will show you the line" I thought easy enough he is in a Yeti, boy was I wrong, it was more like catch me if you can but I did learn the lines which I thank you for! even if it was from a distance  :giggle:

I have booked the day off, just need my boss to aprrove it. Then ill book in :) i would also like tuition :)

ilmor you have missed the early booking price as Javelin have increased it now, might be worth calling and asking for Colin Jebson and explain you are in our group, he might give you the lower price, Tuition is not a problem just send your paypal payment and you will be on the list.

I know its not much more expensive :) cool :) can you pm me your details?

PM sent ilmor.

Booked in and monies sent James :) really looking forward to this :) can someone add me to the list please

Cheers

Andy

Haha, i hope not! Will have a bit of a shock when the withdrawal gets rejected if thats the case!

Now do i chuck some part worns on my bbs and save my rain sports or, run my standard wheels?

Also if on track is it worth putting good tyres, continental ect... On or just sling budget ditch finders on? At the end of the day they are only gonna be ruined by the time im finished with them...

I did oulton on the very worn avon zz3's that I did bedford on also, they were fine, I was told by Richard and the other guys that new tyres are a no no.

Part worns I would say even if it is raining. I had very little wear by the end of the day.

If you take two sets of wheels I will have the jack and wheel brace with me if you need it.

I think ill put some budgets part worns on, if it rains ill put the uniroyals back on :) i just dont want to drive home on ilegal tyres...

Regarding the jack, ill bring one as well :) have we got some garages to store stuff in?

I had 3 mm on the Avons, they did Oulton and then off to Bedford and did How Fast and drove home again, they are only getting changed because one got driven on flat by the wife, so off for a few part worms for me too

You don't want new tyres really.

The deeper tread means the blocks move around more leading to more wear and they'll look a bit rough afterwards.

Im not going to get new, part worns i think :)

I noticed with the Yeti that after the first two track days (particularly Bedford) the tyres looked terrible, like they had melted and the rubber was all moving from the outside egdes to the inside.

Now the tread has worn down more they cope much better.

I've done 22k miles on them, plus two Bedford events and one Castle Combe.

Down to 3mm now so still a bit of life in them yet... ;)
