  • Having discussed it further with a few people and those at Gaydon, the circuit is the only viable option. Regrettably you have to book it a year in advance and I only thought about a record attempt

  • How many black and gold cars are there likely to be? :(

i would be happy to particpate

Prodrive have a test track, but.....

1. it's only 1.5 miles long

2. it's used by Everyman for driving days

3. it would probably cost the earth

But apart from that.......... :(

If we do RAF Gaydon, we need to be allowed to take Coppice as fast as we can. ;)

Don't know about Coppice but I might come a cropper if I push my old girl too hard into it!   ;)

Mind you she does corner like she's on rails, sadly at around the speed of the first trains! :giggle:

Random thought: How about an "endless" convoy on the 2 mile ring at Milbrook.  Now that might really confuse them...

I'm happy to be included, how about trying to get all the same colours together?

Think it's going to be hard enough to find space to do it let alone colour order

I'll line up alongside the other two yellow ones....

what about a record for as many skodas in one place instead?

count me in either way

Going on the last trip to the Czech Republic, I think the factory in Mlada Boleslav can lay claim to that record.  There was a few hundred stacked up on trains waiting to be shipped outta there when we were there.

Posted in the wrong area, deleted.

Nothing to see here.....

I'd strongly suggest contacting other clubs who have tried and failed at similar World Record Attempts, I've been a part of one myself, great day out but the organisation was so farcical that despite there being more than enough cars attending, no record was set as guides lines were not followed.

Cheers

It's for the Members of the  " Days till Christmas " Thread

+ Yellow Rapid.

I have to say, in my opinion, its either get on the runway/circuit next door to Gaydon, or simply forget about it!

What Jason said. Would be too risky and pretty much impossible to do it on the road

I'm quite sure that the local police may consider it a 'Krooz' type of event if we go near the public highway too, it would get boring waiting for them to check over 200+ skoda's for road legality and all that shizzle.

maybe you can go at the back (with the other weirdo's :giggle: )

No problems with that proposition - I'd be the ultimate record breaker, or record setter, whichever way you look at it  :)
