Merci beaucoup! I'll bring some money then, I guess. :D

BTW - Do the small one's only come in outside only? I'd prefer inside, given the choice. (fussy ba5stard, ain't I?)

Ian,

I'm after a couple of inside small ones. I've got your e-mail and will be firing a chq off either today or tomorrow, but I can wait until the Sept meet to pick them up if that's easier.

Cheers,

the exterior batch was my supplier forgetting what we usually have - tho they found some great uses!

We're back to interior ones now, both interior and exterior.

Howard, remind me in your letter to keep it for the sept meet, so the missus just puts one aside for you.

Thats an extra 28p into the briskoda kitty.

indeed, yes... :D

how do we know that Ian and Col will put the money to good use (drugs hookers etc) and not fritter it away - charity/big issue etc?

Perhaps there should be a Briskoda beer fund for occasions such as the RPM and National meet? I'd contribute to that! :dtp:

Good, I'll have a pint of bitter please :D

you need a star first :p

I have more than you, they just don't show :p

and proof of age, since we can't have underage drinking!!

:D

Like anyone's ever going to mistake Paul or Jon for being underage... :D

Rob.

Can I have a couple of stars if I just give Colin or Ian a twenty? Nothing against Paypal, but I'd rather give ALL my donation to Briskoda and not a %%% to some money-making firm. Personal view, that's all! :)

Make sure you get a receipt ;)

just the "bitches" we have in tow.....

Yes jason, to be sure it goes in the right pot please remind me \ pass the money as we approach the bar....

;)

And I want an up-to-date authentic VAT invoice for my accountant to deal with, please? :D

I'll stick it in about thirty different sized envelopes, so the effort of getting it out to pay for booze is simply not worthwhile.

This needs careful thought.

It depends what we (as in the Briskoda community) and the providers are trying to achieve. Firstly, let me state this. I'm a newbie here and don't [yet!] own a Skoda. I do, though, have the utmost admiration for the people who have put this site together.

The idea of a small community is much more exciting (to me) than other organisations (like scoobynet). Scoobynet has changed out of all recognition and now seems to attract more and more of its share of loonies. I occasionally browse it but never contribute.

If Briskoda goes down the road route of having things like "official suppliers" then there is always the chance that there will be conflict in some way.

I will state again that I am the new kid on the bloack here and from what I have seen of Briskoda so far impresses me very much. I really like the fact that it is a small community and that people are civil to each other. I am sure Scoobynet started out that way but look how it has ended up.

With regards to the actual funding of the site, I believe the founders fund it. Maybe Briskoda should have a membership scheme where people pay a certain amount to "join the club. " - Could Briskoda become the offical Skoda membership club?

Also what about a reginal co-ordinator structure so that local meets can be much more official,etc..

Lots to think about in terms of the future direction. It will need input from all Briskodians and some sort of management structure to implement. A committee, perhaps?

To be honest, I think we are having the wrong discussision here. Whether people will want (or feel the need to) contribute will depend on what they get out of it.

I do know this much, though. Involve people in something exciting, give them the necesary tools to be effective and do everything in an honest, upfront and positive manner and who knows what might happen?

Just my 2p

OK, then, fairly civil. :-)
