Question about fuelling problems

Featured Replies

Aright...

My fabia vrs has recently started to have fuelling problems, I have had the AA out to it twice and both times they ran a diagnostic check and both times it showed nothing.

The car will start with easy start. And some times this is not needed at all it just fires up. It has cut out twice whilst driving and a few times whilst it is ticking over. If this happens it will not restart unless I use easy start. I have had to do this twice.

The engine is sweet, I have it serviced regular.

Any ideas as the where to start? Looking or should I take it skoda and get them to run a diagnostic test on it as the AA man said there machines don't work so well on skoda and Audi n vw. ???

The start of the school holidays as well..

No rules broken, moved to fabia I, unless it's a fabia II. Also edited topic title for you.

Ah thank you. Yes I tried to post the same post in the skoda technician section but I think it was locked.

Nah, not that I have noticed. It seems to be pretty random. I'm not driving it at the moment I am using my van. Just trying to work out where to start by asking a few questions. Any reason why you ask about regularity?

Crank sensor fault possibly.

What's easy start?

Easy start is a sprey, it is some thing that you sprey into the air filter to give the engine extra fuel to start. It is normally used in very cold places for machines to be started. It's amazing stuff. But bad for the engine and should never be used regularly.

How can I test the crank shaft sensor?
