Well today I said farewell to my first ever car... kept in a bodyshop for 6 years, it's off to be restored by someone else :(

Anyway, to the current beast... I've completed the drivers door puddle light:

I will complete the other 3 on another day.

The car was absolutely filthy so I decided to give it a quick clean... as I could barely see out of windows and mirrors :D

Gradually getting warmer out there... so hopefully more stuff to come soon B)

Couple of big, high gauss rated neodymium magnets off ebay, set under a thin felt pad should give loads of stick with damaging paint..

or get a couple electromagnets made up to fit in a frame.. might need a big battery though unles you ran wiring back into the car :s

It's warming up! Only one thing for it, time to get the steelies back on after a bit of love and care. They were absolutely filthy from winter, so I gave them a good waxing and re-wrote all the tyre markings.

Fitted them on the car and went for a drive...

I've got some nut covers and some new badges for the hubs on the way - looks a bit crap at the moment, but should tidy it up nicely. The bonnet bra is now gone so I've added some more "rivets" to the front of the bonnet to complete the look.

Now to start planning madness for the summer

I absolutely have to disagree fella.. lovin' it.   B)

Cheers buddy - does need work though. Few bits looking a little out of place (you can't really gauge from the photos). Soon to be sorted though.

The rear half of the car looks like its missing something but dont know what

Weirdly, I've been saying the exact same thing today! :D  It kind of looks like it's arse is stuck up in the air. I'm looking at fitting a massive diffusor to the bottom of the rear bumper to fill in the empty space a bit more.

I only just noticed the Sonic the Hedgehog fins on the spoiler!

I think if the rear quarter paanels had some thing on them, not words but maybe a strip of white checker plate along them just above the rub strip height it would finish off the rear end.

and maybe a sticker marking the jacking point locations... make it look like something thats designed for heavy duty work and maintenance?

Edit : this linked pic but in white

So this happened today... out with the old and in (again) with the new:

I've added some temporary Fabia nut covers until I buy some new black bolts... unfortunately the locking wheel nut ones don't fit :( New centre caps also fitted.

Well this week has sucked...

20160604_155316_zpsjx4zkcr8.jpg

1 of the rear tyres is also suffering a slow puncture. So basically I'm now running on the spiders again, and got nothing protecting the radiator at present.

20160604_153415_zpsi6uzsxeb.jpg

20160604_153422_zpshoukb0hk.jpg

Barely getting anywhere at the moment and these set backs are ruining my plans for the national meet!

What happened the grill?

I've got a job in London now and I'm using the car a lot to drive up there... the 1000's of speedbumps and potholes have shaken it loose and it eventually came away on Thursday. I'm gonna have to take the bumper off and find a super-permanent way of fixing it on.
