Could this be "Moon White" ? Looks kind of white but with a hint of silver?

Both versions look good in their own right and still retain the distinctiveness of the Yeti, I like.

The wheel program has been expanded with four newly designed, attractive alloy wheel designs. There is now a wider selection of colours available, including four new metallic finishes – ‘Moon-White’, ‘Jungle-Green’, ‘Metal-Grey’ and ‘Magnetic-Brown’. The latter is a Yeti L&K exclusive.

Are they saying these are wheel colours or new car colours?  :wonder:

I assumed they were car colours. I can't imagine the look of - or the desire for -wheels in some of these shades!

I think the two-model variant is quite a good idea, but I'm happy to have my L&K in the current design.

I am also surprised that there is no Greentec variant across the board, perhaps they are saving that for MY2015?

It is possible there have been some slight improvements in economy and C02 across the board though if the new one is slightly more aerodynamic or lighter.

Speaking from the corner...

Without actually seeing the colour, Magnetic-Brown, err... maybe they wanted to call it Mud but due to different meanings were persuaded against it.  :giggle:

I think they introduced a magnetic brown (mud) colour specifically for (or even inspired by) Johann  :giggle:

I've updated the collage image so we can compare both the new variants with the old:

I would imagine that, as with most cars, there will be tweaks throughout its life, hopefully including engine variants/updates/improvements. Another reason why I'm happy enough to stick with my 3-month-old L&K trim of the current model and to see what the FL version offers in about three years' time when I might be thinking of a replacement.

One change I think they could - and should, for comfort/safety reasons - have made is to have moved the satnav/radio screen to the top of the dash, ie a 'pop-up' where the storage box now is. The current radio position could then have become a storage area.

That magnetic brown does remind me of British Leyland cars of the 70's - 80's, can just see that on a Maxi, Princess or even an Ital! lol

Are we sure that they have lowered the car or is it just conjecture based on the illustrations? I will be disappointed if they have lowered it. For me, even the current Greenline looks too low compared to the regular version.

As I said above I think it is just the people that modeled it in 3D that got carried away with their lowering skills.  There is NO mention in the press release that either car will be lowered OR that the City version will be any lower than the Outdoor one.

And on that note...  why on earth invent a new name for the "Outdoor" one when you already have the established Scout brand in all the other ranges?!?!  Which is exactly what this one is: a more outdoorsy off roady version of the "standard" car...

Both models look great to me. I don't get the negativity.

You'd think though that it would give them the option of fitting all-season tyres to the 'Outdoor' one as standard. Wishful thinking I know - wheel/tyre sizes probably haven't changed away from the 17" standard.

 Can't find the green yet.

Surely the one in the release photos?

That looks like Muscovado to me...  And those computer colours are notorious for how inaccurate they are.

Thanks, no, I have just read the press releases and no mention of lowering, thankfully. Also agree that it is a shame that there are no efficiency tweaks mentioned for the engines, especially with some of the newer competition on the market. Perhaps they will surprise us!

The more I look at it the more I like it. It isn't just a bland corporate face but a front end with quite a bit of Yeti specific detailing that, for me, makes it the best looking of the Skoda range. I liked the round lights of my original model, but without wishing to sound disloyal, I think that this is more stylish.  :o

I thought it had received a generally positive reception, by Briskoda standards!

I thought so too...  so a bit baffled but this "negativity".

It's definitely got a green tinge to it on my monitor.

The standard spec will change on the L&K and I predict that KESSY will be standard as will the reversing camera but they will drop the heated windscreen (which I really do not want).  All Yeti prices to go up say £600 and with those two things added the L&K will go up by about £1,200 or so in total.  It was also priced WAY too low vs the Elegance just to simplify run out production I suspect.

So £27,180 (the 170 DSG price as it was before it was taken off the price list) will become £28,380 or so.

So my ideal spec:

170 DSG L&K Outdoor (will that even be possible? I suspect not.  I suspect SUK's secretaries will ensure you can ONLY get the L&K as a City - mark my words)

Colour: White

Options to match mine:

Standard: Sunroof and PA

Options:  TPM (£100), Upgraded sound (£390), Electric driver's seat (£535), DAB (£200), MDI (£175), spare wheel (£85) and towbar (£400) - Total £1,885

So a total of:  £30,265 (So about £27,000 with the DtD type discount).

If KESSY and the camera were to be options I would not tick them as I don't need either and prefer a real key in an ignition to this keyless stuff - KESSY costs £375 on the Superb. Reading the Superb KESSY stuff on page 36 I don't like it.  All fine and well but who closes the door WITH THE DOOR HANDLE?!  No one.  You push a door shut on the edge of the door frame or wherever you feel like.  KESSY forces you to close it normally and then to touch the door handle to lock it.  I prefer to shut the door and just press a button on my key fob as I walk away - also closing the mirrors should I wish as I walk.  With KESSY you have to stand there like a fool holding onto your door for however many seconds whilst the windows shut and the mirrors fold.  Daft.  No thanks.

Maybe they did some Outdoor versions in a camouflage colour and parked them up somewhere only to find that they can no longer find them  :giggle:

It's definitely got a green tinge to it on my monitor.

I also think that is the jungle green colour.

I kinda like it, but disappointed the fog lights weren't kept high. One note is that the boot/luggage space seems to be bigger? 510 litres? On the wheels you could get these before, just no one noticed :-) i did though and have them on yeti II :-)

Škoda is naughty and they are listing the boot size (without spare) with the two outer seats pushed all the way forward which leaves NO legroom as we all know.  See this.
