Iains blacked out stealth Rs

Featured Replies

Seeing as my car is nearly done (if they ever can be!?) i thought id build a wee thread showing how it progressed.

Bought the car in November 2012 just turning a year old 1 week after i purchased it. So first thing was first, home and a coat of wax and couple pics...

So it stayed like this for a full 8 months or so as i enjoyed owning a newish car for the first time ever before i began to get bored. I hatched a plan...Keep it clean, keep it fresh and keep it stealth with no mad coloured wheels or in your face stickers.

I decided on a course of action -

Tint front and rear lights. Decided on yellow fogs for a subtle touch of colour, worked out well imo :)

Lower it and get the stance right, still need the spacers but the coilies are on and it's sitting pretty.

Do front grill carbon and replace the rear badge with a new style one done in black. Carbon wrap needs redone though as the stuff i used was old and to dry.

Powdercoat'd wheels in a darker colour. Eventually went for "graphite grey" after much deliberation!

Tinit windows lightly and get sunstrip applied - STILL TO DO

So it went from the standard car you see above to nearly finished in a space of about 1 month.

First up was fly eye kit for head lamps and carbon wrap for grill followed by the fitting of the coilies -

Few days later done the fogs yellow and toy'd with tinted DRL's (still not sure) and took it to it's first outing, Glasgow cruise where it got some good attention. I decided i was headed on the right path and continued down it.

Couple weeks later I fitted the new style rear badge done black and had the rear lights lightly smoked. Done a full detail on it and Took it to SVAG 2013 where it got some good attention and nice comments again.

(^i'm the specky dude haha)

So after a few mishaps the wheels were eventually powder'd. They shoulda been done 2 days prior to SVAG but there was a problem, then had to cancel my appointment the following week due to work related business.

Heres how she stands today. Roughly a month ago being totally standard.
