YOLO - my little lass taught me that

the photo at the bottom was the one they sent me and i edited the top one myself with photoshop, but really quickly.. and yeah im having it done in a gloss finish so it will match the roof etc..

Ok, I follow that.

I had meant a bit more PS wizardry as in taking an existing real life photo of your spec car and getting the, to drop the wrap on there so you get more an 'in the flesh' idea of the result.

as some of the posts above say, including my own, go for it, it's your car.

Bit of old fart advice though (only thirties but still.......) spare a though for how you will keep the wrap looking nice over the time you own the car, I enjoy a bit of novice detailing/valeting and wraps are much harder to keep fresh looking than paint in my limited experience, take a look at getting some decent wax/sealant on there from early on to keep it looking good.

Hope you enjoy the car when it arrives.

Considering every person i have physically shown the photo to they have loved it, including the skoda dealership

Of course the dealer would say that, since your parents have just bought a new car from them!

Urgh, all of these down comments about it is starting to make me doubt about it..

Gentlemen, I think we've found the problem. He's one of them.

Just don't follow in the footsteps of the last lad from your area who followed that mantra, he proved that to be true.

^^^^

True dat!

But to be fair, this young fella doesn't seem at all obnoxious like the one you are referring to

Wap. Now that bloke would have asked what we all thought, then told us all what W***ers

we all were if we'd had the gall to disagree with him.

And then would have driven at speed on the motorway with defective brakes whilst taking a picture of his warning lights and speedo...

Your negativity and petty comment are really starting to do my head in now.. youve said you dont like it, and i accpet that. but there is no need to go and about it and post these stupid little things.

As said on his other thread, no more insults please

If you don't like his graphics fair do's but its each to their own, so be respectful

Yes it does look stunning but thats a VRs.. different type of car, i wouldnt have the stickers put on that, id leave it alone because of what it is.. and if you think about it the Monte Carlo is a rally which is full of cars with stickers all over them sooo... kinda goes with the name tbh.

The monte carlo looks exactly same near enough as a vrs fabia and the monte carlo is not a rally car.

just to stick up for Jay, he didn't say the monte was a rally car. .... just that the Monte is a rally with lots of stickered cars. ;)

Im confused, iv never seen a monte carlo with loads of stickers :/ hahaha make it look a mess and enjoy the laughter :)

It might look a mess in your opinion but Jay might think its the bees knees

As said its each to their own

He can always remove them if he doesn't like them as much as he hopes anyway

Fair play to him for trying something different I say

Wish id of had my fabia vrs like this :(

That's the problem - if the car isn't prepared properly or there's an issue with the vinyl, it can take paint with it when you remove it!

While we're all being a bit flippant, the point is there - this isn't really a smart idea, for lots of reasons, most of all the longevity of the paint finish, and the insurance complications for the OP. But if he wants to do it, then it's his car, and the only thing we all need to be worried about as other road users is that it's insured correctly.

I prefer something like this, in line with the corporate identity by Motorsport. Still not a fan of decals but hey...

Each to there own. Please remember feedback and discussion is good, but keep it constructive.

Having brought a limited edition wrc octy RS, despite saying I'd never do it. I regretted buying it after, as it had been de-stickered. I went to get it re-stickered but found the cost excessive, so resolved my regret over a pint.

For me with cars looking the same now; thats bland, stickers are one of the easiest ways of making your own statement. As to what is hip with the teenagers I have no idea if it's tidy, wish list on the front wheel arch, bean-can exhaust or whatever...

Some good comments above; amid some irksome ones, about insurance and paint. I have no idea how you'll drive this car, for all I know you're a junior m-sport champion who gets his driving kicks on a circuit, or a chess grand master who just needs to get from a to b.

It's your care, enjoy it, consider some of the points raised, and we'll need photos afterwards :)

I actually like this, maybe it's because I'm only 18. It looks bad on the first picture (start of topic, not real picture) but I think it looks great in real life, and glad you've found the money and bought your plates by the way.

It's not something I'd do to mine but if I was to buy one it wouldn't put me off, if you know what I mean.

Oh, and Stop saying YOLO it makes you look like an idiot.

Glad you are chuffed with it matey. If I had the chance to own a brand new monte when I was your age I'd have been well happy!

Although it's not quite to my taste, well done for being brave and doing something different! If I saw that going the other way I'd have a look and probably just say 'fair enough' to myself and not think anything else of if! Enjoy your new car mate! Could do much worse! :)

I de-Monstered mine recently after getting the white wheels, and realising the error of my ways

The residue from the transfers took a fair bit of shifting, especially the line of grime around the outer edge

Looks much better now  :)
