Hi Keith,

I've always used main body as 6518 & trim as 6150.

Hope that helps/clarifies.

Just had a look at your piccys & reckon you may have picked up a little bargain there!

Considering the storage she's certainly scrubbed up well & it's really useful to have mates available that can assist with various bits/bobs.

Wonder how many are running around on the IOW? Is is possible you may be the only one!

Great to see & enjoy  ;)  :)

Yes, ive moved that colour codes thread to the classic tech guides section.

you will easy get a DRZ in the back.... when i do another track day, we will be taking 2 KTM`s , put them in backwards and maybe take out front wheel and put in a mini moto wheel just for transport..... that will make them about 9 inches shorter i recon

i used a scaffold board as a ramp, with a piece of 4x4 timber under the top end, so the ramp didnt rest on the handle type thing on the tail gate

when you do, google me

we are only open for guests during the main 6 week school holidays, the rest of the time it is school parties that stay

For some reason Keith, I can't "quote".

I know what you mean about the "handle" or "spoiler" as I optimistically call it. It's a right pain especially ehn you've got to get anything heavy out. I also have that issue with tote bags of logs or when I've filled one with wet leaves which weigh a tonne - or at least they feel like they do.

Fortunately I've got a dwarf wall which is coincidentally virtually the perfect height to load things from if I use a bridging plate. But I have to back up as close as I dare, and turn whatever I'm loading 90 degrees - not so easy with over 100kg of bike!

Do you use the anchor points near the tailgate? I've used these with my kids' bikes which are low and lighter; but I wouldn't have the confidence with a full-sized dirtbike let alone 2!!!!

Your anchor point near the bulkhead intrigues me as the bulkhead handle/rail looks even less robust and I can't think what else you might use.

Towbar fitment and removal can be a b***ch can't it? Glad to see you've got the same dent that mine had where a previos owner forgot. I use a bike lock around the spoiler and anchor "D Ring" when mine's on so that I or the kids don't forget.

Orange towball cover on mine bought from Heinz Kinigardner's shop. Should have got it autographed as he was there at the time...

ALEXEI....................

not used the tow bar........... only had the truck on the road for 9 days... the tow ball dents where there when i purchased the thing.. i just leave the tow ball in the low position and carry on

when i had my bike in the back, i did use the rear anchor  pionts and the "square -ish" "hoop things" that are attached to the rear seat bars by the floor...........  i was only going about 3 mile, so did not strap it down properly.........

if we go any distance then it will be done in a different way, but will look into that when i need to

take care............ Keith

  • 2 weeks later...

Nice array of shots!

Particularly enjoyed the crown patterned interior, audio arrangement with Sony speakers built into the rear uprights :p  & the neat cover/tonneau  . The speakers could double up as vibrational back therapy! ;)

Take the spoiler off, then you can hop a bike up there trials style, then turn it off when it's on. That's how I get my DT on my single cab anyway :)

Just got to be quick on the front brake before you end up changing the channel on the radio.
