Skoda Swing and round buttons - how to detach them?

Hi everybody,

 

does anyone know how to detach the two round buttons of Skoda Swing MP3 Radio? Tried pulling them off the board, tried to remove the chrome rings of the buttons to see if there's a screw underneath, tried to push them out of the circuit board from behind (detached the radio front panel with the display from the body), but so far no success. The point is that i want to change the green backlight diodes of the buttons with white ones, but first i have to detach the board with the display from the plastic cover frame. And the only thing stopping me are these two round buttons...

 

Would be very grateful if somebody enlightens me.
