  • Right.   I gave myself a good talking to and popped out for a little bonding with the new car.   Holy moley it's even more bonkers than I remember the last ones being. Yes, they have worked a lot

Now I'm only hazarding a guess here but maybe, just maybe, if you were to take a photo of one of your Skoda's with a similar sort of adornment then it could be a Briskoda 2013 Calendar contender!

I think to get that kind of picture with the Yeti would mean a lot of convincing... and £££. :giggle:

Where as the GT-R was done for free to help someone out.

Other views of the wheels from angles, to see how they sit flush with the new Michellin tyres on (275+305)

No spacers here!

I actually preferred the way the over sized Yoko Advans filled the arches more.

But they were struggling a bit for grip under some circumstances and I didn't think they'd be up to the job of the new brakes, so it's a sacrifice I've had to make.

I'm back to stock size rolling size.

Being a bit gentle as bedding them in.

But according to the MFD (Multi Function Display) 20% brake pressure is 0.5g and around 45% brake pressure is 1.25g.

Looking forward to trying an emergency stop once it's all settled!

I'm expecting it to feel rather uncomfortable.

Had a nice cool (+2c to +5c max) day at Snetterton today with the Skyline Owners Club.

Tested the new Action Pro camera...

Good grief this thing shifts and the new brakes are simply amazing!!!

Great video.

Where was the camera located??

I stuck in under the front bumper, by the air intake for the intercooler. (right under the number plate)

For a cheap version of a GoPro the quality is OK and it uses mostly the same internals.

Quality looks very good and nice positioning for closeness to the track.

Me about to do the sighting laps. (before I fitted the action cam)

The only time I didn't have a passenger. :)

I was out in the cold dry conditions in the morning, then the rain, then the damp.

I made the most of the conditions and gave the car a good test! :D

Even chased a Radical around for half a lap in the afternoon before I got a bit low on petrol and came into the pits. What a finish to the day, tailing a Radical round Snetterton in a road car!

Track day from in the car. :)

Absolutely Brilliant! Radical was slowing you down with his early braking

That thing is just devastating on track! Absolutely love it.

Thanks Mike,

I have to say that when you consider it is a 4 seater (in Japan, but a 2+2 in the UK as we are taller!) and has a large boot what it can do on track does seem quite shocking.

Being able to whizz past all the other road cars and follow a Radical around when driving something that weighs the same as a Ford Galaxy MPV is just mind boggling.

The day before this track time I used it to take the family to Tesco to get the weekly shop... :giggle:

  • 1 month later...

Beat me to it. Made a mess of that

Oh well, small blessing is Richard's is now worth a fiver more due to being now ever so slightly rarer....

Good to read no one was hurt in that accident above, even with a passenger given the state of the roofline on the nearside.

Mine is safely tucked up in the depot.

Not the ideal time of year to be giving it a bit of welly. :)

There are a few orange ones.

Someone did it and put the pics on the GTROC forum, then within a few months there were around six.

That's why I went yellow, it's a bit more unusual.

Nice to see everyone was OK though.

They are very strong in a crash fortunately.

Just to add a bit to this. Richard just popped in with the 'Beast' and took me for a quick blast.

JESUS BLOODY CHRIST this thing is FAST AS *ahem*

Richard many thanks I've now got to sell the house and buy one of these
