Your car is looking amazing!

I was lucky enough to be inbetween a convoy made up of an Audi R8, Porsche 911 Turbo and a very nice Nissan GTR on the M6 today. I slotted in nicely in my Fabia TDi in front of the GTR for well over 20 miles. Once I pulled over for my junction I noticed the Blue GTR had Lichfield graphics on it and the number place was L17 CHO. Do you know of it?

Yes, it's the Litchfield Imports demo car. 700+bhp, top spec brakes etc...

As seen here: http://www.litchfieldimports.co.uk/nissan_gtr_performance.asp

  • Right.   I gave myself a good talking to and popped out for a little bonding with the new car.   Holy moley it's even more bonkers than I remember the last ones being. Yes, they have worked a lot

Wow, just had a browse on there! It certainly looked very impressive. You got any litchfield stuff on yours?

It's got a stage 2 tune (590-600bhp) from them, but the other stuff on my car is all stuff they stock for tuning companies.

My exhaust is Milltek and the brakes are the Alcon Superkit, both of which they helped develop.

A few other bits came from somewhere else.

They have one approved garage in Kent called Kaizer Motors, near Gilingham.

It's very handy from work so I tend to get the stuff sent down and fitted there. Much easier that Gloucester.

The guy who started up that business last year is an Ex-Nissan GT-R (and LEAF) tech which is rather handy.

He actually won the top tech in Europe competition in 2008, so knows what he is doing.

Today's new purchase was some carbon fibre flappy paddles. :)

Anyone who has seen a 2011 or later GT-R knows the stock metal ones really show marks easily (due to magnesium content) and can't be cleaned very well.

Hopefully they'll look nice with the new steering wheel and be functional too!

So hopefully in a week or so they'll be replaced.

Very nice indeed Richard, will keep checking back for pics of the updates! If only I wasn't in the Midlands and closer to Essex! I'd love to see this in the flesh :( The GTR that I saw earlier in the Litchfield graphics was a beaut, 700+BHP must be absolutely insane!

Looks awesome.

Here nothing but good thing about pw locally (there only 10 mins from me). Could've popped in and had a nosey :)

I want one :wonder:

The paddles come as a pair. ;)

Those dials look like something from a video game :) carbon paddles are very tasty too. What do all the buttons on the steering wheel do?

The left one is the ejector seat

Oh hang on, I've been watching too much Knight Rider.......

Sent using whatever device I'm using at the time.

Or you've been reading the Fabia "on" switch threads :D

Nothing particularly exciting.

Just the stereo, phone and cruise control.

Although now it's mapped you can also hold down the cruise control button to switch between road (95RON) and race (99RON).

Which really means you leave it in race all the time and just use the road map when you can't find a garage selling V-Power or Tesco Momentum. :D

Lovely morning for a drive today. Cool, sunny and the roads are quiet.

Just dropped the wife and child off somewhere a few miles away, then had a one hour diversion to find a cash machine...

Not driven the GT-R much over winter and I'd forgotten how mind boggling it is round corners, under acceleration and hard braking can hurt your eyeballs.

I hope you didn't drive too far that you've forgotten where they'd been left?

I can understand the remarks about needing to find a cash machine after driving the GTR for an hour though! Maybe acquiring some shares in BP et al would help to offset the costs? :giggle:

I can vouch for this and it's had new brakes since I went out in it :D

Went to Silverstone today to do the GP circuit. My first visit! :)

Amazing day out.

About ten GT-Rs in attendance out of a total of only 70 cars. Not too many hold ups at all.

Cool, bright and about +2c at 11am. Yes that is snow on the side of the track! :D

Had an instructor earlier in the day, to help me out a bit as it's a long and technical circuit, but really good fun.

Section of the instruction following a tweaked black 2011 GT-R driven by a rather experienced driver, before he pulled over to let his brakes cool.

Looks good i went round it prior to them altering the circuit few years ago now and it was a great track then. I like the Hangar straight bit real sense of speed hurtling down there. Although i wasn't going quite as fast as you lol.

Yes, good circuit for the car, really suits it.

By contrast Brands Indy is probably the worst for it. :D

Couple of pics from Monday.

Look at the work that front tyre is doing in the last pic! :o

Fantastic Photos!!!

Looks Good Richard, doesn't seem a particularly flowing circuit now with all the changes, though looks challenging, maybe thats my perception, the closing speed on that seven also looked quick.

  • 3 weeks later...

Your not really going to sell this when the citygo arrives are you? Lol

Also does wearing gloves actually help in a road car?

The Citigo will probably be more "exciting". :giggle:

I also personally believe that once rolling (over 30mph) it'll be just as quick... in a straight line.

I'll happily drive one of them while you drive the other to test this out side-by-side. :)

That was my plan at Santa Pod one day later in the year.

Working on getting my Nissan tech along to pilot one though... not a cheap fix if it goes wrong! :D

Oh wow.

Just realised I never put up the other Silverstone vid when the instructor was guiding me round.

Look out for the Audi R8 about 1:40 with the fandango carbon fibre rear wing!
