Make sure you put it in writing of your intention to reject the car. I personally would write a letter allowing them 1 attempt to fix it & state that if the error re occurs within say 3 months

Sorry about that, I guess it is a Ford I am talking about so hopefully the OP just needs a new sensor or something simple, my Superb II had to have the sensor replaced.

Mine also decided to start a regen today. Not on the 20 mile journey on fast moving motorway but just as I pulled onto the drive. Two and half months and 3000 miles in the regens have reduced

Got my car back today and really loving having a good drive. Instantly happy again. Also liking the full tank of fuel and new rubber load mat gratis for my trouble (and also a full months lease costs refunded!).

Out of interest... Was the good will from SUK or your dealer?

The good will gesture was offered by my dealer who then pushed for more from SUK.

We bought our Scala Monte Carlo Edition 1.5 tsi back in December and from late January it has had both mechanical problems and electronic gremlins. The mechanical problem have mostly been sorted, new rear discs and pads that were making noises like a wheel bearing was rumbling, the gearbox has had a software update and a reset (it's still not perfect). And the road noise is just the high dB tyres and lack of sound insulation. The electronic gremlins were put down to a failing 12v battery which

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

Evening. I am replacing the rear struts at the weekend, weather permitting. My question is, is it ok to torque the bolts whilst the car is still on its axle stands and not in the loaded position, like the the control arm bolts, when I replaced the springs, I cannot see how to do it when the wheels are back on? Is there a way to mimick load/compression? Have drop links to do at the same time, if I have time. Any advice welcome.
