I amazed that anyone keeps cars in a garage,   We have barely enough room for the roofbox, amongst the bikes, tools, "pieces of random bits of stuff that might come in handy sometime" and paint tins. I would take a picture but it's in a worse state than usual after the building work we have had done recently.

Both of ours are tucked up in the garage every night.

If I remember I'll get a picture this weekend.

The Octavia is a bit tight length wise as I store my Winter/Summer wheels behind the car.

Makes it handy when you need to work on the car.

Mine has two bikes, a vespa, an arcade machine and a mountain of tools and tat. No room for a car.

That's what sheds are for. :)

Here's MY garage, I say MY but the wife would beg to differ, a bit messy and full of vintage motorbike (just managed to get rid of two, so down to 1), used to be a triple but the left hand was converted to 'her' office

It amazes me that folk leave the car, which costs £000's,  outside on the road or drive when they have a perfectly usable garage.

Some will then winge and moan if it is damaged or stolen for the sake of a few £'s worth of junk they have to keep in their garage.

As boss fox says stick the junk in the shed.

fits like a glove.

I'm the only one on my street who uses their garage for what it's supposed to be used for.  Everyone else just fills theirs full of stuff they can't be bothered to get rid of!

When we moved into our new house it looked like this

but it was quickly converted to this

I'll follow up soon with a contents photo ;)

You struggle to get modern cars into a lot of garages now. My parents have lived in the same house for over 30 years and when I was a kid parking the car in the garage was not an issue. Now my dad has been looking at new cars and quite a few will not physically fit or will fit but you can't get out. Its mainly the width that causes the problem.

Nope.

My next door neighbour can get her MX5 in hers - just.

Maybe I'm looking at this all wrong and I really need a Ford Prefect in my life?

fill car with contents of garage. Go to car boot sale. Sell until you've only got stuff left no one will give you 10p for. Go to council tip on way home and dump whats left. Repeat process until you have a garage fit for purpose. Simples....

This is mine... It's a struggle to get anything in really!

I often end up letting the old man use it instead:

This is the other option, it's alot smaller... Yet next door gets a sensible double garage? :  (Enjoy the car pron)  ;)

It's right what has been said about garage sizes - new developments don't provide a garage that meets the LA standards but if it provides a driveway long enough/wide enough to park two on, then there's no issue. I was always asking for a 12m driveway or two 6m x 3m spaces to meet LCC parking standards. Fine if it's provided by the developer, but, you pays more for your insurance if it's in the open.

Garage, garage... thumbs through dictionary. Hmm, an interesting concept, unfortunately not available locally. My poor Octavia is exposed to the elements 24/7 and tinkering is weather dependant. All the usual crap and clutter, wheels, paint tins etc. is in what is laughing called the conservatory .

Well its got a surround sound system fitted and when i get my tv back from my mum thats going in as well, shame its completly empty at mo as ive sold my cars and other one is away getting painted.

In the process of getting mine upto scratch, now we've bought a house with a garage and driveway!

Doubt the Octy will spend much time in there, but I do have a medium-term plan to purchase something smaller and more interesting, that would... ;)

Done a bit more on toilet:
