Sunset glass

Featured Replies

Trying to decide whether to go for sunset glass on my white Octavia VRS estate.  Who's got it and how dark is it

Don't want it to be too much like a cave for the kids in the back

What are peoples opinions?

It's not that dark to be honest, personally I'd prefer it a bit darker.

Never sat in the back of my car but not had people complain about it being a cave as yet.

My car with sunset glass.

I would have it. I have it on my estate. Not too dark at all. Looks good, not like you are the local chav !!!!! No problem reversing either.

Have it on my Superb, looks great, and not too dark.

Looks dark outside, but hardly noticeable inside.

Bit like wearing your average pair of sunglasses

Makes my car look like a small van :D

It's factory fitted but still pretty dark tbh.

I would love your small van!! Lol!

I was worried about the cave effect too but in reality it's no problem. Could be slightly darker if anything.

We have it on our VRS estate and its about right and although slighty darker in the back it is by no means a cave and rear vision at night is good too

I'm going to Pentagon Glass in Reading in the new year & get them to tint my glass, as I forgot to order it.

It'll cost me around £360 to have done, but I think it will be worth it, especially if we get some nice hot summer days.

Definitely need to go for Sunset. Had it on my black estate and it added a much more elegant look to the car. Not too dark at all but great in hot sun in the back.

I've got it on my white vRS estate and it looks good, and a nice contrast against the paint work...

Got it on mine, looks great, even better that the dealer forgot to charge me for it! :)

I got it with the intention of getting some sun shades always but they are not available yet.

Still looks good

Took delivery of our 2.0l elegance on 17th March, having ordered and paid for sunset glass we can see no difference between that and the un tinted glass. Total waste of £140, have complain to Skoda UK, will let you know how I get on.

Has it actually got sunset glass??

No difference externally or from the inside?

Doesn't sound like you've got it. Should be very noticeable between the front and rear.

You can certainly see the difference on mine between front and rear windows.
