North West Tuning...GNJ?

Featured Replies

So I am getting ideas for the Vrs, researching remaps etc. I tend to look at all possibilities before making a decision so takes while! Looking through a few threads and Shark maps seem to be well liked. R-tech are a bit far from Kendal! But found GNJ on sharks website, has anyone had any experience? I was looking at going to awesome for an APR but they seem to have had mixed reviews (APR that is, not awesome gti), and shark seem popular on here.

Finally!

A Kendal lad!!!! You'll see me knocking about everywhere

Im going to R-Tech after new year can arrange for both cars to be done at a discount if you want?

cheers, appreciate it!

go to A.D.Edmundson at lower darwen (near blackburn) bud im sure he does a lot of stuff for gnj..

I went to r-tech earlier this year and can safely say will never go back. They turned up 20 minutes later than arranged to there own job. Then refused to remap ny car for completely crap reasons including a fuel filter with service corrosion that was six months old and I had replaced myself, and oil residue around breather pipes I had previously repaired. Basically called me a liar and sent me home. 60 quid in fuel round trip wasted.

I drove to r-tech from dumfries and galloway to map my octy vrs

Was well worth the drive! They guys know what they are doing!

The premises is rather small and looks backstreet but they know there stuff!

Can't judge a book by its cover mind you. I've also been to awesome gti, premesis looks good etc but they aren't a patch on r-tech

I'd recommend R-Tech all day, even if it is a bit of a trip.. I went down there from Warrington, nice easy drive down the M6.

They know the 1.8T inside out but won't map it if they think there's anything wrong with engine. They'll do a full smoke test to check for boost leaks and check VAGCOM etc.. then live map it on the rollers to your taste, not just some default map off the 'net.

Even the Stage 1 transforms the car, makes it feel like a much bigger engine on the motorway, yet still happily return 30+MPG. :)
