Retrofiting factory options

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit some options only with the use of vcds coding?

The ones i would like mostly to know are:

- driving selection mode,

- driving activity assistant,

- crew protection,

- lane assist.

Thought drive mode was standard on all the octy 3 models?

No problem.

I really want to set the driving profile mode

You won't be able to do it just only VCDS as you need the button on the centre console.....

I think You can do it via Bolero/Amundsen/Columbus as well.

I can't on mine, I have to press the mode button to get the options.

Can anyone confirm that the button is needed or if we can access directly by the radio unit?

There is no access on my vRS to driving mode without pressing the driving mode button infront of the gear stick.  There nothing on the infotainment to allow access to it.

Does your passenger mirror fold automaticly with the reverse engaged or only with the automatic seats?

How do you set the position?

My VRS wagon arrived without the Driving mode button, it was supposed to be standard on NZ VRS's but got left off by the factory.

Skoda NZ say they have ordered a Driving Mode button and will fit it as well as loading the required software. Hopefully it will be sorted in the New Year.

I doubt thats only the button and the software thats needed can you please check with tour dealer?

The only thing out of your list you can enable without fitting extra parts is the driving activity assistant. That is assuming you have the correct steering controller fitted. Odd, as most people turn it off from the menu on the MIB unit, if it is what I think it is and warns you when you are tired by monitoring your steering input.

All the other bits will require extra hardware.
