Just had an email from my dealer and he reckons that my car is currently sitting at Sheerness!!

SUK have told me that my car was built on the 16th and is sat in Germany waiting to be shipped. Where / when does the briskoda hivemind think that realistically it will take to get here from now? They said it could be a couple of days, or a couple of weeks.

 

Anyone got a typical timescale for this? Tomorrow it will have been there a week since build I guess?

Watching shipping, then I don't think anything is heading to Grimsby until at least Friday; one shipment arrive today and one yesterday. That ship oddly has headed towards the English Channel and now seems to be backtracking to Grimsby :wonder:

 

Oh mine was built a couple of days earlier and likewise sat probably in the same car park

No the dealer is digging their heels in and still sticking to the Skoda UK says 10 days and 10 days it is line. They had been fairly confident the car would arrive with them in time to deliver it by the original quoted end of this month, however they e-mailed this evening to say still on collecting dust duties at Emden and now looking more like an early Feb delivery :S

This is what I've been expecting anyway, as really it would have needed to be built WK2 rather than WK3 for end of the month to be realistic.

Their just being jobsworths by the look of it,maybe your car will be delayed long enough that swansea will stop issuing 63plates,mine is sitting somewhere having been built the same time,mine has said that skoda can shove the 10day rule,as they would prefer me to have 14plate which in turn would be better for them should I go back for another one,if carlsberg made skoda dealers it would be davidian morecambe

I got a voicemail from Skoda yesterday saying mine was at Emden, and standard timescales are two weeks to get to the UK and then another week to get to the dealer.

This makes me think that my dealer is mistaken. Cant possibly be in UK as it was only built 1 week ago!

Thanks for this update. Helps! Also, do you mean two weeks from arrival at Emden, or two weeks from completion of production? 

I think they said two weeks from Emden.

Mine was BW2, built on 10/1/14 in England 18/1/14 and should be transported to dealer this week and hopefully pick up before the months up.

My guess some of our cars could be on this one ( the SCHELDE HIGHWAY ) or the next as it seems to be doing Emden / Grimsby trips non stop at present!

It's the Schelde that left Grimsby earlier, then appeared to have turned back for Grimsby but it looks like she's now going to Emden, even though the destination is showing Grimsby :wonder:

 

Also the EMS Highway is due in to Emden, along with the Isar which is returning from today's drop at Grimsby; next destinations though unknown.

I would have thought so. Most BW3 cars should have left Germany by now

Dealer emailed at lunch to say that mine hadn't (built on 16th) so said still a couple of weeks with update on progress in a weeks time / to arrange collection.

Believe that means it's in line to be loaded onto a ship; status code 38.

 

On a ship is 39 and landed through to transport notification to dealer is 40 and dispatched to dealer 60.

 

Notice the Isar Highway is now scheduled for another run to Grimsby, to arrive Saturday morning, so that will be two deliveries the end of this week.

Exciting times! Wonder if my wk3 has made it's way to Sheerness yet? A pickup next weekend would be very handy as I have a trip away planned for the Sunday - what better excuse to break it in?!!

Wooo, my BW3 car has arrived at dealer's. Will go there today to drop off a set of winter tyres that I bought separately.

Handover planned for next wednesday and roadtrip planned for next weekend.

So, once they get past the build queue they get stuck in the car park queue awaiting the next ferry to be built.

Got the call yesterday, my BW3 VRs had arrived at Sheerness & getting taken off the boat. Dealer was hopeful that it would get to them in the next few days, then window tints & PDI before a possible pickup next weekend, hopefully.

 

Can't wait

Had the dealer on again today wanting me in to sort paperwork. He says they are just waiting for Stobarts to pick up from Sheerness and it'll be on its way!

Spoke to the dealer today and got a chassis number but no reg nor a confirmation of delivery as promised on Friday just gone. Seems a call to the transport company to get their timetable and try hasten delivery failed to happen.

 

They are now promising to ring tomorrow; me and the transport outfit  :wonder:

 

Funny how they have been pushing for me to take the car as soon as it arrives but now it's actually at the docks they appear to be dragging their feet :S
