Get your beads out

Featured Replies

Thanks Yours to. It was washed, clayed, polished and waxed on Sunday so I would have been a little disappointed if it had gotten filthy by then :D. Cleaned but still covered in swirl marks. I'm not good at that bit yet.

Couple more while the drizzle's about:

Looking good.

Interesting looking front grill

Thanks. I put some red vinyl stripes in the grooves. Subtle but different.

Nice work indeed - must have taken a steady hand and a lot of patience!!!

Yeah, I got the vinyl cut to 2 mm thick lengths at a graphics place, cleaned the grille with alcohol wipes and then used a craft knife and cotton bud to apply them. The far left one didn't stay on for some reason so I've taken the far right one off to make it even but apart from that I'm happy with the results.

The most annoying thing was the little wavy bits of vinyl were being pushed away from the car by static electricity.  :swear:

Nice, what you using as an LSP?

I was wondering that too...lol

A bit of beadage from other day. Missing the rain now lol

Dodo juice

The last few protections were Sealing gloss. I'm actually much more preferring the traditional wax finish.

Couldn't resist trying out some Angelwax Dark Angel that I picked up at a bit of a bargain. Beads are nice and even on terrible paintwork it gives a nice, glossy finish.

I really need to work on this :( Had two weeks off and have only spent a few hours on it !

Im going to buy this as a topper for BH Autobalm (My LSP of choice atm)

In fact I rate BH products so highly, I see no reason at all to use anything else

Only been a couple of days but love this stuff !

Excuse the bad photos, i took them in a rush on the way to work!

applied with machine or by hand?

By hand, looked at getting a machine but didn't fancy one. Bought a adaptor that goes into a drill. Got a 10.8v Mikita drill in work only a small one. Il use that just to put polish on :) got a valeter that does detailing in work if I need paint correct lion and he owes me some favors.

Only cheap and saves my arms hurting putting polish on.

Be very careful using a drill to polish out swirls and scratches

Its so easy to cause damage if youre new to it...particularly using a hand drill

Wasn't planning on doing any correction purely to just apply polish, takes ages by hand. Won't go hard with the drill. Just didn't want to spend on a decent machine polisher.

I assume you mean the Topaz rather than 'Polish'?

Ye sorry Topaz, no cutting what so ever. Il either borrow a machine from the valeters or ask them to do it for me :)
