Czech Army paint job?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a 2004 Mk1 Octavia that is on 280k miles, and is my daily hack.

Paint work is not brilliant (was a private hire car).

Saw this BMP1 armoured personnel carrier ScreenShot2014-01-09at214659_zps69cdcf76

, and thought about painting mine in NATO matt green, and putting czech flags on the doors, and maybe like this:

Thoughts?

I don't think an Octavia has been done before.

if you paint it that matt green, it'll look like an ex-east german private hire car

ps

If that's the intended purpose - object achieved :giggle:

Go a little further and mount a scaffold pole on the roof - would look like a tank then.

Pfft... don't let your wife stop you for God's sake!

I've done this to my car (although in black) and it's the best thing I ever did. Mil paint is fantastic at keeping rust at bay and with all this rain we've been having, if I hadn't of painted the car last summer I can guarantee my motor would be rotten by now.

Take a look at my project by clicking the image below - took me 2 full days to do and the results were great.

If you do decide to do it, make sure you opt for Satin and not Matte!
