And LJ59CFM appears to be a BMW X5 XDRIVE 30D M

That's the reg number in the photo I've got....

Wonder if it was on a private plate, and it's just been reassigned a normal one...

I think we need more info.

Is this through the SUK Approved system?

That reg certainly doesn't show up on the AskMID web site.

I've just checked the DVLA database and it DOES exist.

I don't know much more info at the moment, but no it won't be through the SUK approved system. I checked the MID too.

Yep - see that now, I must have punched in wrong details (had a few beers last night), although I used the askMID (as it appears so did Graham), and a valuation website, so all a bit strange to say the least. Anyway, never mind as mystery now solved.

Also listed on webuyanycar.com.

Just wondering though, why the OP did not list the full reg in the thread title, so as not to keep us all guessing the year (59/60 etc etc).

Don't know the car and can't see a link in the thread but it should have the following options:

* Annapurna Alloys

* Front and Rear Parking Sensors (doesn't state Park Assist)

* Variable Boot Floor

* Tow Bar Prep

* Silver Roof Rails

* Rough Road Pack

* 12 Speaker Upgrade

* Columbus and,

* Tyre Pressure Monitor.

Great stuff, thanks for that info.

Dont suppose you have access to service records too ?

Just a habit of not posting full reg nos on forums. Was hoping to see if anyone had owned it, in which case that would have been enough info.

Didn't realise all that other info was available too though !

Thanks all.

Haven't got a link to any more info that what I've posted.

Unfortunately not, sorry.

Thanks anyway.

What does the "variable boot floor" option give ?

Would I be able to still retro-fit a spare wheel with it ?

I think mine has the "variable boot floor" and I dont think you'd get a spare under it with out any 'mods' I'm sure there is a detailed thread on this kicking about.

Hi Briskodian

Variable boot floor has two fitted runners down the side of the boot, and the boot floor is very solid, with a split fold that runs from left to right.  I got my Greenline with this option.  The fitting information that was left in the car indicated that you could have the vbf in two positions, flat in the floor, where it gives you a hidden compartment underneath that's about 5" deep, or half way up the boot, which actually doesn't seem to work, I think you're supposed to suspend it on the hooks, but the boot floor is too narrow widthways for that to work.  It is a very solid floor but aside from giving you that hidden storage (which might be useful if you don't use the boot cover) it doesn't add very much.

The spare wheel kit uses a full size spare wheel and you get a set of polystyrene foam cubby holes that fit around it (you can fit these yourself without too much bother), and a polystyrene centre section that fits in the wheel, with a big plastic bolt to secure it to the floor of the far.  The floor cover is much more flimsy and has two split folds that run back to front, so you can use the 'sides' around the wheel for storage.  The boot floor height ends up being slightly higher for the spare wheel kit than for the VBF.  You can get a spare wheel underneath the variable boot floor but the VBF will not sit flat unless you release the clips that hold it in place behind the back seat, and the spare wheel can move about.

There is a thread somewhere on here about the options - you can't, I believe, order a Greenline with a spare wheel kit, but it's not because a spare wheel kit won't fit, it's because the weight of the spare affects the weight of the car, and it would affect the 0% road tax on first registration.  After first registration you can do what you like, but there's nothing structurally different about the car that means a spare wheel won't fit.

I'd save £700 and look at something like this instead from a franchised dealer.  There are others too.

It might not have all of the toys and it's 140 rather than 170 but it'll have a proper history unlike the one you're looking at, judging by your other thread.

Thanks for that, but I'm specifically after a 170 :)

Fair enough but as you're probably finding there is much less choice.  It's worth keeping an eye on the Skoda site though if you aren't already.
