Here is a short guide on how to change the Daytime Running Lights/Sidelights on the Fabia VRS.

Tools You will need:

> A prising tool to remove the black trim.

> A T20 Allan Key.

> New DRL light.

First get your prising tool, and carefully get it behind the black trim. I tried to use the microfibre cloth seen in the above photo, however I found it a little thick to get between the trim and bumper.

Once it's slightly away from the body work, gently pull around the edges as it's clipped in. Then you'll have something that looks like this:

Then you will find the Allen Key screws as pointed out below.

Use the T20 Allen Key to undo all these.

Be careful as the unit will fall out in to your hands luckily saved by the plug.

Then get your prising tool's head into this spot here...:

...And pull, this was a bit stiff.

Put the New DRL in it's new home:

Screw all the screws up, put the black trim back on and now you have a new DRL lamp all fitted.

My apologies for resurrecting an ancient thread - but it is both clear and helpful - thanks to the OP.

 

I have a 2013 Mk 2 Skoda Fabia VRS.

 

On a recent trip, the passenger side DRL was struck by a stone (I imagine); the result is that the glass is cracked and water would be able to get inside the unit.

 

I want to replace the unit but I can't find a source for a replacement - can anyone help please?

Welcome I replied in your other post.  eBay is the usual place to find them being sold. Then at main dealers they order them in for you. Or on Briskoda if someone is breaking a car. But I think the member that was has sold them to another member.
