Richard's mk1 Fabia thread. (Yes, I have a mk1 Fabia problem...)

Off topic but does the A8 have a thread yet?

It did, but I got bored and stopped updating it.

Because being an Audi it's a bit boring. ;)

Just had a look and can't find it.

I might have asked for it to be deleted as it was dull.

Lol. Really?

Yes, if someone comes round with the cash it's gone.

Great car, very capable.  But just not me really.

And the Cat C car (£150) has the damage below, just a scrape in the side and written off for this!

Buyer still needed...

It's a sad moment.

Shall we have a minute silence to commemorate the FGF's, and all efforts that went towards building a nice collection :D

Nothing wrong with push rods, the Americans use them all the time. Oh, that didn't really help my point.

They beauty of the 1.4 8v is that it can sit bouncing off the limiter at 19000 rpm everywhere. Run on cheap petrol cheap oil parts are cheap and simple.

The 16v's are alot more revvy are faster and more fun... but suffer with so many oil problems and pinking on anything but 98 octane means they are a pain to run unless you get one sorted with the revised piston rings or have shares in Shell petrol and oil!

Well the FGF Shell with the roll cage, together with a few other bits has gone off to a new owner.

The Cat C car is sold and should be collected within a week.

So just waiting on the buyer of the FGF Estate to pick it up and I am mk1 Fabia free... :'(

Dislike on this one.

Out of interested, I recently acquired some mk1 Fabia brochures.

Against Fantasy Green it specifically states that it's not for the saloon so it looks like you did have the complete collection at one point.

That's interesting Sam, thanks.

Was it ever an option on the Elegance?

I've only seen one of those in LHD, never seen a FGF Elegance in the UK.

Just Classic and Comfort.

I wondered if it was because nobody ever actually ordered the car in that colour, they were just stock ones. :D
