How many fabias have you now got Richard? And what happened to the a.8t in the Seat? Did you transplant it into anything?

I'm not 100% sure.

Not yet, but if someone doesn't buy it soon I will when I get time.

Surely this (16" wheels) is all fun and games until you realise your BBK doesn't fit under the steelies and instead of having 225 width tyre tread you are on 185 width rubber with a lot less grip.

All of this you ponder on as you hurtle side ways off track towards the crash barrier

i'm running 16" steels on my fabia on 205 50 16 and all is well so far. HI-Spec do a four pot brake kit with 310mm x 28mm discs that fit under 16's which would work nicely and rather tempted because i don't want to lose my look with bigger wheels etc.

Well the largest tyre size I could find on 16" rims were 205s

So will you be holding the inaugural Formula Fantasy Green Fabia race at the National meet next year? :)

As long as he doesn't buy an SDI as then 1 lap would turn into an endurance race!

You could use an SDI as a safety car, give the marshals plenty of time to clear the track.

I reckon an Sdi would be quite fun. You'd need to perfect the technique of maintaining speed in the corners :)

He'd still be at 45mph from the last corner

I know that I shouldn't put temptation in your way but it's cheap, it's on the south coast and it's FANTASY GREEN.

Downsides are:-

Passenger doors damaged

Trailer job to get it home

Do you really need another one?

This should test whether you've finally kicked the FGF habit.

I'm still winning !!!!!!

You're certifiable my friend!! But love it LOL! Well spotted on another FG though, original spotter, I do look from time to time but hardly see any at all. I figured it would be a real b*itch to change an SDI to petrol though and if I did something like this I'd prefer a TDI base, mainly because of the road tax savings per year.

When I was bidding on the SDI in Glasgow (which I got outbid on!) the plan was to put the engine and gearbox from the Pastywagon in (pre mapped PD130 with full history and 6 speed box) and make a brisk diesel.

Thought that would be an easy swap.

Didn't happen though as I got outbid.

The seller's idea of selling a car in Glasgow right when the Commonwealth Games were on there wasn't ideal either.

Did I read somewhere you were buying another vRS too?

Best of luck with FGF vRS maybe you could take both out on track if you 1.8T the other one :):notme: now I'm giving you ideas

You may have imagined it.

It seemed very well priced IMO, anyway if you do strip them out remember the little things like the wiper motor as it is shockingly heavy (the rear one), my engine should be out later too so then it will be light ;)

I forgot that topgear have featured fantasy green twice! Once on Jeremy's Alfa in the Alfa challenge and once on his Fiat Coupe in the cop cars challenge :)

It's who wins at the end that counts.

Decided not to show my hand until the end in case the owner found this thread...
