Sorry folks.

 

Set off at 5am, arrived in Halifax (after 217 miles with the empty trailer) a little after 9am... which surprised the seller a bit!

As I was coming back down the A1 I stopped off and Jabbasport too, to check on other things.

Yeti recorded 9 hours driving time and 460 miles.

 

Then had to do the normal family stuff like I do after work so feeling a bit... ZZzzzzzzz.

 

Here it is.

 

 

 

 

Drives well, feels pokey and smokes a little.

Old RR graph shows 215-odd bhp but I suspect it's more like 200 or thereabouts.

Hybrid turbo, FMIC, exhaust, 312mm front brakes, coilovers, rear ARB and so forth...

Nice little package.

 

Need to sort a coilover issue as five hours on the trailer have resulting in a rear KWv1 letting it's fluid escape.

 

Has a few other things too like front leather seats etc... plus Factory Xenons with washers and cruise control.

 

It's been on the forum for a while, it's Trev's car back from when I joined Briskoda in 2010.

I think Richard is cured of the FG Fabia obsession, it's now down to just a healthy interest. He's recently said 'NO' to the Glasgow one, the non-runner on the South Coast, the one on Coparts and the very local one in Colchester. May need to start on the Audi obsession next; an Audi A8 on order and playing around with an Audi-t (whatever that is) for hours yesterday.

 

New white VRS looks nice though.

I've never been a fan of white cars, only ever owned one. I saw a white Mk1 recently and liked it. I think this one looks fresh and exciting :-) very tasty purchase Richard!
